ha ha big show and kane would definitely not make it on my bucket list

maybe big show as he's like a frickin giant, but i've already seen him wrestle in a tag match while i was at floor level in the crowd. couldn't see half the ring when he was stood on the ring apron. he's massive

im actually pretty psyched about seeing rusev. fantastic under-rated worker. knows when to sell and if he's booked right (which he has been so far) he's an absolute monster.
oh and Lana too :woot:

Reigns was carried by Bryan, he was completely gassed after 5 minutes. He also somehow made a powerbomb from the top rope look lame. The match was good because an in ring general, a veteran, held his hand throughout. If you're getting your hopes up for Lesnar/Reigns because of that you're going to be disappointed, neither of those guys can call a match.

Wrestlemania will be Reigns' third singles match on PPV.

Ah yes, there was always going to be the "Reigns was carried" argument. Likewise, if the WM main event is good, I'm sure it'll be Lesnar carrying Reigns there as well. Sort of like how Cena gets carried every time he has a great match, yet he's probably got as many or more great matches than most others.

Yes, it helps when you're in a match with somebody as great as Bryan, but Reigns more than held up his own half of that match. His general selling, facial expressions and execution was absolutely fine. In fact, I'm already seeing a fair bit of praise for him around online for his performance. You can see it as him being carried if you like, fair play you're entitled to your opinion, but from I've seen a fair few people would tend to disagree.

I will see it that way because that's the way it was. John Cena is a 13 year veteran, of course he has great matches. If the WM main event is good I'll give Reigns all the credit in the world, because Brock can't call a match either.

Fair enough on your replies I can understand if you don't want to see them but I did wonder if you try and tick off the big names or just want to see the actual in ring stuff.

Only one I never seen was the Rock........ah well tis the way it goes.

although big show is small compared to seeing Yokozuna live.

I sort've hope the build for mania gets the show hyped, while I've not much interest in WWE but I've just moved into a new house, have a brand new 40" Tv with a nice sound system and I was thinking of Mania just to see it all witht he glitz and blitz in my own place. we'll have to see.

Is anyone off here actually going to WM? I assume we'd have heard about it by now, to be fair.

There may have been some sarcasm associated with his post... ;)

I'm not sure what i'm more stunned about, a 13 page thread about wrestling or grown men actually going to watch it?

is this where you point out to us that it's fake & all it is is muscly, oiled up men touching each other?

Nah, each to their own, used to love it as kid but just can't get my head round it as much these days.

i think everyone i've spoken to about it used to love it as a child. think with the majority of people out there, they obviously grow out of it but then there are some sad cases like us who still like it.

I am sure I read a while ago that the main percentage of Wrestling fans are aged 30-50 years old.

its one of them things you just keep going back to watch down the line if you enjoy watching it, you probably have a break for afew years then check it out again.

but its just a TV programme like any other, I always say that when people say its fake......and so amazingly are the murders, con-jobs, affairs and rapes on Coronation street and Eastenders.

I always associate those that look down on it, and belittle others for watching it, as people that felt genuinely conned when they discovered it was staged. That moment of feeling stupid has morphed into a distain that they feel compelled to share with those that enjoy it for what it is.

Yeah but they're all oily and touch each other up. Scoff Scoff.

These people also think Bobby Beale REALLY killed Lucy Beale and get dead annoyed about it
Or spend hours of their lives watching fake people having fake relationships on TOWIE.

Yeah, I do wonder where the hell he's going to fit in now.

Unless... hm. I think we're going to get that Sheamus/Bryan WM match we were robbed of twice that WWE have since been desperate to give us. Sheamus is due to return soon... in fact, I'm gonna call this now:

Raw will end tonight with Sheamus returning to "save" Bryan, only to turn on him, turn heel, and join the authority.

Erick Rowan must get the biggest non reaction in WWE at the moment. Any time his entrance music goes on, the crowd goes completely dead.

Hopefully nowhere, Sheamus sucks. Face or heel. Has done for a very long time.

I'm very open about it so I get it all the time. The best one was a guy that loved Jackie Chan movies educating me on wrestling being fake. I asked him if he thought Jackie Chan was actually fighting 30 blokes at a time and it went over his head. It's just a stock conversational piece for people that don't watch it.

It was reported months ago that Sheamus/Bryan 3 was a goer.

I'm going for Sheamus v Bryan or Bryan v Ziggler.

I get a strange feeling about an angry, frustrated Bryan turning heel for some reason before Mania

Think people are forgetting a shit load of superstars that don't have a match will get chucked into the Andre the Giant battle royal which seems to be becoming an annual event. I imagine Miz/Mizdow will be a big part of that along with the Big Show, because it's going to be really hard for someone to eliminate him and all that shit. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Kane win that match because of the amount of Royal Rumbles he's dominated but not won over the years, he kind of deserves a little moment in that format.

I wouldn't mind Sheamus vs Bryan, as long as the story is adequate. They're both excellent performers and will be the best match on the card.

I hope the likes of Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Ambrose and Barrett don't get dumped in the 'we have nothing for you but here's a nice Mania pay cheque' battle royal.

just get a load of goobers out there, have it last about 4 mins in total, have big show & kane as your last 2, and i'd say have big show win it and retire straight afterwards. he did a podcast once where he stated how he finds it amazing that the biggest wrestler in the world has never won a battle royal.

Yeah, they probably need to just give up on him already. I remember in those brilliant Shield vs Wyatts matches, it always felt like a ring full of 5 superstars and one Erik Rowan. And he's absolutely lived up to expectations for me. He gets more of a push than Luke Harper at the moment, but the difference in quality between the two is massive... I reckon Harper can be one of the best things in WWE if given the chance.

Hopefully nowhere, Sheamus sucks. Face or heel. Has done for a very long time.

Nah, Sheamus doesn't suck, the way they use him sucks. He's actually a very capable in ring worker and often has some great matches*, it's just his happy clappy "FELLLAAAAA!" character that sucks. Get rid of that... turn him heel and he's a keeper.

*Interestingly, I always think of his very best match as being his 2 out of 3 falls with Bryan. If they get anywhere near that standard, it'll be match of the night at WM. It's between that and Orton/Rollins.

Pretty good show I thought, had the crowd been good would have been a very good show, they really do make a difference. I loved Bryan vd Reigns, both men did a great job, Reigns really stepped it up, just a shame the crowd were terrible. Rusev/Cena was good, surprised Cena lost by submission, he didnt tap but still dont think we've seen that before, would have liked it clean without the lowblow as we now get the ineivtable Cena underdog comeback story. Defintiely excited for HHH/Sting and Wyatt/Taker, loved those 2 segments. Loved Ortons return as well, I've always loved face Orton, much more of an ass kicker and actually acknowledges the crowd and gets great reactions, much faster and exciting matches as a face also. His and Rollins should be superb. Hopefully we get Bryan/Ziggler but Bryan/Sheamus would aslo be good but not as good as Ziggler would be.

My Result prediction for the WM Main Event, may be a bit extreme.

Reigns to beat Lesnar, but being barely able to stand, Rollins cashes in, 3 count and walks away as champion

or

Lesnar to beat Reigns, and Rollins cashes in, 3 count and walks away as champion

Either way, Rollins will become champion
