I see whoever Cena faces for the US Title taking him out at the PPV, explaining his absence. Ziggler or New Day are my guesses.

Some are speculating Tyler Breeze, not sure about that one. I think it may be someone slightly unexpected (a bit like the Jericho at NOC appearance), would love it to be a returning Daniel Bryan and he wins but unlikely.

Think this could be a decent show, here are my predictions:

-Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. - Brock Lesnar

-Seth Rollins vs. Kane for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (Kane loses his director of operations job if he fails to win the title). - Seth Rollins

-Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt in a Hell in a Cell match. - Bray Wyatt

-John Cena defends the U.S. Championship in an Open Challenge. - Challenger wins

-Charlotte vs. Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship. - Charlotte

-New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz for the WWE Tag Team Championship. - Dudleys I think, hope I am wrong. New.. Day.. Rock!

-Kevin Owens vs. Ryback for the Intercontinental Championship. - Owens

-Cesaro, Neville, and Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev, King Barrett, and Sheamus. - Can see the faces picking up a win here to avenge the loss on Raw, seems to be the norm booking. On a side note what a waste having all these on the pre show, this could be a decent PPV match and you could argue the case for one or two they should be near main event level.

Owens, Charlotte & Seth Rollins I'm 99% sure will all retain, but you just never know, stranger things have happened.

Breeze wouldn't make much sense to me, he's a glorified jobber on NXT. I also think his ability and gimmick has a ceiling, I wouldn't buy him beating Cena for a second. The only NXT challengers I'd buy would be Joe and Balor. I think Joe is a strong possibility. Other than that I would love it to be Bryan or Ambrose (matchless). Kofi is also in with a shout.

Why would they have Kofi pull double duty? Though knowing WWE it'll be Strauman.

They could have Woods and Big E defend the tag titles. Whichever one doesn't will be a possibility for Cena would be fairer to say.

Is Sami Zayn any closer to recovery, he could be a surprise contender if so?

Strawman (or whatever the fuck he's called) or Ambrose are good shouts with not having a match now, wouldn't mind Ambrose but no to the Wyatt freak.

Not sure about Zayn but I would love that. Owens as Zayn as the midcard champions could lead to something special.

Brown Snowman makes a lot of sense, unfortunately. He's a new monster that hasn't been pinned or submitted and is booked to look strong. That's a familiar recipe for someone about to be beaten into irrelevance by Cena. The only stumbling block with him is how green he is, and they may not want him to overshadow Bray.

Maybe so but it needs to be someone who can benefit from being the guy to beat Cena. I suppose we also have Miz, Sandow & Big Slow. The previous two could work wonders with a win over Cena whilst Big Slow, well just gives him something to do before he turns face again. We shall see how it all turns out.

Both Cell matches were fantastic in their own way, each up there with the very best.

Del Rio winning the US Title is about as underwhelming as it gets. What a waste of time the whole US Challenge has been, Cena got pinned like someone that's going away for a bit, just no conviction at all.

Having it be Del Rio was a total waste when you had guys like Breeze, Ambrose, Harper etc not doing anything on the card. Only seen the first two matches so far so will comment on the rest later.

The shows generally have been very underwhelming last few weeks but the PPV was fantastic. Taker/Lesnar was superb, the best of their 3 recent battles and an interesting ending although I would have liked to see the roster come out to defend Taker makes no sense everyone was just sit and watch backstage. Reigns/Wyatt was also a great match was very into it. Was very surprised at ADR, was hoping for a Bryan return but not sure on Colter pairing, I think he needs more control and to develop a character similar to in Lucha as he can get boring fast. Rollins with a clean win was nice but felt the end sequence could have been better, not sure who will go up against him now, Reigns maybe? If hes not going to be in a 4 on 4 SS match with Taker.

I didn't think I'd ever be disappointed to see Cena lose cleanly, but I was fucking devastated with that US title challenge result. It's a signal of intent from WWE... yes, Del Rio, the man who instinctively draws you toward the fast forward button, is back, and yes, he's going to be, once again, pushed so fucking hard whether people want it or not... to the extent that he's just become, I think, about the 8th person to ever beat Cena cleanly. And it's not like Cena even gave him much of a fight. After the months of superb matches and being pushed to his limit and bringing out the best in so many people, Cena just rolled over and died at the first big hit from Del Rio. To think of how much it could have meant for somebody to be the one to step up and beat Cena in this challenge... it was just such a great springboard for a good up and comer. But Del Rio gets the rub.

I don't know. Maybe Del Rio has suddenly gotten, you know, interesting in the time he's been away. But I can't imagine it. I hope I'm wrong.

As for the rest of the PPV, that was actually pretty good. Both HIACS were great, and I want to put in a special mention for Nikki and Charlottes match, probably the best WWE PPV womens match I've seen in a long, long time. Even Kane vs Seth wasn't too bad, but then again it seems that Seth can probably get a good match out of anybody.

Agree with all of that, apart from Seth & Kane having a good match, I thought it was awful.

After all those classic 25 min matches, kicking out of finishers, big drama, Cena loses in under 8 mins to a secondary finisher by a guy they've tried and failed with multiple times and who has already won everything. When Cena comes back Del Rio will be getting crushed 5 times in a row.

I liked the show.

First thought Swagger was coming out then my jaw dropped with Del Rio! Positive as it created a shock moment. Sadly the months that will follow; boring promos and he will be fast forwarded unless his character goes through big changes.

Loved the Reigns Vs Wyatt cell match, really elevated both of them for me.

Made up that New Day retained! Love the Dudleyz but in all honesty I would prefer splitting them and have Bubba as singles with his Bully Ray persona.

Rollins Kane just made me laugh! After all the weeks of the demon this and demon that, recovering from a broken leg with red mist, he gets beaten clean by Rollins??

Lesnar Vs Taker was classic!

But for f***s sake!!!! The Wyatts surprise surprise randomly coming out and moving on so quickly from Reigns and Ambrose and doing what they do. But I guess it sets up for Team Taker Vs Wyatts at Survivor Series.

US Open Challenge. I don't like the fact they wasted the open challenge on Del Rio but what the hell. He's not going to be more than a midcarder anyway so it could work. Also seeing Zeb driving a buggy haha priceless that. As shocking as Del Rio's return was here tonight, was it really as shocking as seeing a one sided victory? Cena haters will still find a way to hate on this fact though right?

Reigns/Wyatt was a proper old school brawl. Brilliant hard hitting contest that involved tables and kendo sticks. Very good match indeed. Can accept Reigns winning as both men needed the win so one had to lose.

Tag title match. Even the experienced DVon botches sometimes huh? Look forward to seeing that on the next botchomania hehe. As for the match itself it was a fun match. New Day going to do that 'Thing', Bubba mocking Big E and then Kofi attempting to lie, cheat & steal awesome stuff. New Day retaining is the right thing to happen too.

Diva's match wasn't too bad. They need to get Charlotte to start working over the legs if they want her to continue using the figure 8, makes sense right? Though this is WWE logic.

WWE Title match, wasn't that bad I suppose though King had the best line ever here "Kane the Spanish announce table is over there" haha!

IC title match was too short to be anything other than ok.

Main event probably just edged the other HIAC match as match of the night. It had a proper old school match feel about it. All the old tricks came out and I loved it. Steel chairs, steps, exposed wood on the ring, and Brock returning the low blow favour, brilliant stuff. As for what went down after the match I hope this only leads us to a SS match, though i'm sure it'll be long term booking so we'll see Taker on Team Wyatt for Survior Series then probably see something bollocks like Taker vs Strauman at WM.

Overall enjoyable PPV.

Fucking Del Rio. Fuck off. Was excited/shocked for about five seconds when he came out then I remembered how dull he is and FFS the ending?!! A clean win over Cena, by a kick to the head and it was barely even registered as a big deal by the commentary team. Appalling. Complete waste of the past few months of good work by Cena.

Main event great. Was expecting some sort of run in (Rock?) at the end. Interesting to see where they go, will Taker be with the Wyatts or against?

I enjoyed the PPV - the Taker/Lesnar match was excellent.

And Daniel Bryan didn't show up which is always a bonus.

Thought it was a decent PPV on the whole.

I actually didn't mind Del Rio being back, seems to be an unpopular opinion though! Must admit I couldn't quite believed he had the three count when he did, thought it would have took more against Cena and would have gone on longer, very strange. Zeb Colter on a scooter though, brilliant.

Wyatt/Reigns was a good enough encounter, not much more to add.

New Day retaining was a pleasant surprise for me, they were 9/4 on SkyBet yesterday which I bottled doing :ffs:

Divas match was one of the better PPV I have seen in a while (NXT excluded) like Oaf points out, probably best performance I have seen from Nikki Bella.

I love Rollins but didn't hold much hope against Kane, it was okay, nothing else. Glad he won clean, please move on from this now.

Glad sense has prevailed and Owens retained fairly quickly, not a fan of Ryback at all.

Main event, I really enjoyed the Lesnar/Taker match and liked the way the ending was booked.

Didn't expect the Wyatt's to come out at the end, JBL going sick was quite amusing.. "this man paved the way for these sick hairy bastards" :brill:

Going forward I've seen the Strowman/Taker rumours for mania, please no. Hopefully this attack builds Wyatt's Versus Taker & friends at S/Series, but can't help but think it'll just act as a slow build for the slug fest of Strowman/Taker at mania.

Overall a good PPV with not much bollocks like Big Show and other idiots.

Wonder who WWE have lined up to face Rollins next...

Possibly a bit early yet..but his big feud in the next few months will be HHH leading into WM.

Survivor Series predictions?

I think Reigns wins because I believe he was beating Rollins, so they'll stick with the plan. I think Ambrose will turn after the event, filling Rollins' role as the top heel. Where the plan changes and could be more interesting is Ambrose is not an Authority guy, he shouldn't be anyway. This should lead to the Authority searching for a new face of the stable, adding another contender into the mix.

Fully expect Reigns to win and The Authority will recruit a new member not sure who but Ambrose is too over to go full blown heel at the moment so won't be him.

The one that interests me is the unannounced 5 on 5 match. I'm hopeful we'll see one or two guys from NXT debut.

Don't get your hopes up, Baz! That match is going to be Sheamus, Barrett and New Day vs The Usos, Neville and The Dudley Boys. Maybe Cesaro will be in. They completely forgot to put this match on the card and are scrambling at the last minute.

Fully expect Sheamus to leave Survivor Series as champion. Reigns to chase Sheamus till Rumble time.

Looking forward to Ziggler Vs Breeze.

Not sure about Taker/Kane Vs.Wyatts. I think Wyatts need the win more to really give them huge lift off otherwise they are stuck as mid card fillers with randomly picking on main event guys.

Time for Roman to turn heel and become the Authority's corporate champ, I reckon. Preferably he starts out trying to win fairly (as that would explain why he initially refused Hunter's help) but sells out when he can't finish an uber-gutsy Ambrose in the final. Ambrose and Cena can keep him busy until late January. Then bring back Brock (stick him in the Rumble, please) as the babyface to go on the tear against the whole Authority to get his title back. WM rematch. Works for me.

Of course, none of that accounts for that stupid ginger git having the briefcase. Or the fact that WWE creative is awful. So Kopite probably has it right.
