Norwich have by far the strongest squad in this division, and had they had a proper manager for the first half of the season, they'd have walked this division.

I've seen this phrase "flat-track bullies" pop up a number of times this season to describe us because of our excellent record against the bottom teams, but does anyone know where it comes from? Because taking it at face value, I wouldn't say we bully the weaker teams into submission - they just haven't got the personnel to stop us playing the way the best teams do.

We were unbeaten against bottom half teams until near enough the end of last season. I miss that :(

Don't quote me on it but sounds like it could have started off as a cricket term. Pretty much used generally now to mean a sportsperson/team who dominate inferior opposition but cannot beat top-level opponents.

I was only messing about though - it doesn't really matter who you beat, after 46 games you finish where you do on merit.

I'm a bit worried about our game tommorrow. A big, physical side like Wednesday is exactly the sort of team we struggle against. When you add in what looks like an awful pitch you have a recipe for a Brentford defeat.

You'll be fine. If you can keep up the performance levels you'll be alright.

It does look like the hardest game left to me.

They don't have much left to play for so hopefully we'll be able to stretch them and get an easy win

I remember playing Fulham when we had everything to play for and they had nothing 10 years ago. They beat us 6-0.

I can't even bring myself to post any real thoughts in here. Agonizing...

Cardiff and Wolves both worry me, Forest & Blackburn don't. If we're within a point of sixth come 44 games I think we'll do it.

So out of all the teams who have been top this season, we've been top the most with 108 days, Watford the least with 10.

Sods law suggests they'll win the league then.

I don't understand why people think that the 'top of the league for x days' thing is significant. All it means is that Bournemouth were stronger at the beginning of the season and have dropped off a bit, whereas Watford had a slower start to the season but have improved. All points are equally valuable, whether they were won in August or April.

I take your point. However we haven't been stronger or weaker at any particular one point in the season, we've actually been pretty consistently bobbing in and around. Our days in top spot have been spread throughout the season at different stages.

Ultimately of course it's who is top and second come the end of the final round of games that matters obviously.

We were top for 2 hours and 30 minutes at the start of November

I think I read we were top for about 80 days. 2nd behind Bournemouth.

That makes our implosion even more depressing. :(

If we beat Leeds tomorrow night we are guaranteed to be top for at least 15 minutes (until Bournemouth's 8pm game at Reading ends).

We were top in December 2010. Briefly. I think.

So there.

John Eustace out for the rest of the season, as is Omar Mascarell. George Thorne should be back for the playoffs if we get there, so we've got to last the rest of the regular season without a holding midfielder

Will be the last we see of Eustace unfortunately, as I highly doubt he'll be offered a new deal.

John Eustace seems to have been around for about 25 years.

I remember sticking him into my Premier League sticker book for Coventry in the late 90's.

Watford got rid of him two years ago as his legs had gone. He played most of last season, and most of the first half of this season before his knee injury.

Good chance of someone dropping points in this round of game. None of the top 4 have an easy game.

Same applies to the playoff chasers, bar Derby. I expect there to be more than one point separating the four teams after tonight.

Boro already 2 up.

Poor defending by Wolves.

It's all part of the great plan, were 5-0 down at half time, then bring on Leon Clarke (who we recalled from Wigan 2 hours before the game) and he scores a double hatrick to make it 5-6 to Wolves.
