Wolves to win their last three?

Can't see it.

The key thing is to have players ready for the playoffs - We have had a few injuries this year of course and its expected Thorne/Buxton could be back for the game against Reading. Don't play them please, they could easily get injured again. If we can have our best team for the playoffs, then we could have a chance. I make this our best team...

Grant
Shotton Keogh Buxton Warnock
Thorne
Hughes Hendrick/Dawkins (Maybe)
Russell Martin Ince

With that team, and players such as Lingard, Bent, Bryson, Forsyth on the bench then that would be a good team to go on.

It's quite frustrating that we've not once had our best team play together this season. Complete opposite to last season when we were quite lucky, and had a very settled side (not quite as lucky as Burnley who managed the same team for about 25 games running).

Anyway.....

We could guarantee a playoff spot on Saturday if we get lucky. We'd somehow have to win of course, and then need Wolves and Brentford to both drop points.

From a personal point of view I'd love Derby to miss out, it's local and a reasonable allocation plus I think Steve Mc would jump ship which would hurt their chances next year, also I'd like to see the reaction of Rammy.

Norwich and Middlesbrough fans will love this.

This was in the 85th minute on Wednesday, when it was Forest 1-2 Watford

https://vine.co/v/ezz6vvg6J1g

God, I'd forgotten it was so close to our third! If we'd conceded that I'm not sure we'd have gone on to win, that said we did win 4-3 at Bolton with a 90th minute winner after they went 3-3 in the 85th minute.

Reckon you could be 3-0 down with 30 seconds left and still not lose. Your lot are ridiculous.

We've won 12, drawn 2 and lost 1 of our last 15 yet still have only been able to gain three points on you over that run. For comparison, we gained 9 points on Bournemouth, 10 on Middlesbrough, 12 on Wolves, 15 on Ipswich, 16 on Brentford and 17 on Derby in that time.

What I didn't realise was just how tight the goal difference is between Norwich and Watford. Quite concievable you could all win your last 3 and still change places back and forth. Could make for a very dramatic final day

Yeah, we could win all three of remaining games and still not go up. This division is mad at the best of times but it's beyond bat-shit crazy this season. Fucking love it. It's been mental, never want this season to end.

In fairness you lot are pretty amazing yourselves at grabbing last minute wins/draws, rather like in your last promotion season - I'm still fuming over James Vaughan for getting himself needlessly sent off when he (and evidently the rest of the Huddersfield side) thought the game was won. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have got that 98th minute equaliser otherwise, which could prove crucial come the end of the season.

Love the championship. Been much more interested in watching it than a top 4 clash or Champions League game this season. So glad to be back

Sorry but I find it hard to sympathise with Derby fans bemoaning injuries. Yes every teams suffered injuries, but we don't all have the money to splash out for decent quality Premier League players on loan to help fill the void!

If only we could rely on that too...

Not bemoaning injuries, but a lot of our fans are. It just tends to happen to our best players and not more average players - We should have been able to cope much better though.

True, but in the case of Wolves, you are in a position to go out and splash £2m+ on a striker. We are paying a fraction of the salaries of Bent and Ince. I would suggest that your wage bill is similar, if not more than Derby's.

Regarding the wage budget, ours is nowhere near close to Derby's. 2 years ago when we had the likes of Jamie O'Hara and Roger Johnson taking a combined 60k per week off our wage bill each week, I would have agreed with you. However now we have Bakary Sako on 25,000 a week and Doyle on an estimated 20,000 per week (both leaving in the summer) ... after that we don't have anyone close to reaching 10k pw. Most of our team now is either academy players or players we've signed for our time in League 1.

Also apologies in advance if I'm sounding like Lancy.

That's the problem, you (we) probably don't have any idea what your players are earning.
As you say and has been widely mentioned in the past, Doyle is on around £30k per week, Sako must be on £25k. I don't believe for a second players such as Afobe, Dicko, van La Parra, Stearman are on peanuts, easily in the current market, they will exceed £10k per week.

Our highest earner is on £17k per week to give you an idea.

3 wins for us and Bournemouth would do it so you know that won't happen!

Not concerned about finishing 7th, then? :hypo:

More concerned as to how Sammon can supposedly play when he's played for both you and Rotherham.

Unless Rovrum have realised they made another cock-up as if it was an emergency loan, rather than the season long loan they and Derby announced, then it would have expired on Saturday.

I think the others will drop points at some stage but I can't see us making it now. Play offs it is.

You're not going to lose to Fulham. Seriously. And you don't need to tell me how long your losing streak is against them, it's still not going to happen.

Wolves will have a few more fans today, at least for a little while.

If Ipswich win it's definitely over for Wolves, and almost certainly over for Brentford.

Struggling to understand some of the reaction to last night. Norwich's automatic promotion chances were over the moment Watford beat Forest the other night. All last night means is that we're now likely to play Derby over two legs rather than Ipswich/Brentford/Wolves.

Besides, I'd much rather have our chances of promotion officially ended by Middlesbrough (even if they did resort to cheap and pathetic tactics for 70+ minutes) than be fucked over by Fulham again. This way, that game is a dead rubber.
