Well then. What an interesting day it's been. The horrid winless run against Fulham is now a thing of the past (as I said would happen all along), but I really didn't expect to finish 3rd. Just assumed Boro would put hapless Hughton's side to the sword.

Annoyed that Derby couldn't do their bit and nudge Ipswich out the play-off's. Knew Blackburn away would be a tough fixture for Ipswich. Not surprised one bit they lost that game.

Makes for an incredible semi-final tie though. Over two legs, we should win. But it's probably not going to be an enjoyable experience (unless we put the tie out of sight at Portman Road).

Fuck sake Derby. How did you manage to lose that?

Also can't believe we've actually won a game against Fulham.

Amazing. Derby with comfortably the biggest implosion I've ever seen.

Oh, I don't know. From top of the Championship, the league sewn up in August, and next season's Premier League Champions to only 3 wins out your last 12 runs us pretty close.

WE FINALLY BEAT FULHAM! We actually did it... it's a miracle... might as well just end football now. I'm crediting the win to Michael Turner, he must have found whatever voodoo they had and destroyed it - good man, knew sending him on loan there would pay off. Just a shame we gifted them two goals and didn't give them the hiding they so richly deserve.

Us meeting Town in the play-offs was so avoidable. What the fuck, Derby and Middlesbrough? You were playing the only teams in as bad a form as bloody Blackpool FFS! Now for two weeks of absolute torture.

Nice try, we've been dead for months.

I've enjoyed following us away this season. Ticked off a lot of new grounds and had some quality days out. Footballs not been upto much but Ive personally enjoyed following these clowns this year.

Pretty damp squib after such high hopes today, and I'm afraid Miguel Layun is going to be the target of a number of vociferous boo-boys after his gifting possession to Wednesday (and not for the first time) near the end lead to their free kick which resulted in their equaliser from just about their only meaningful shot on goal, costing us the second division title for the first time in our history. It was already clear how much we will miss Guedioura next season if (god forbid) we don't sign him, as he would have offered the strength, defensive qualities and link-up play against a physical midfield that Layun sorely lacked. But we can't blame him alone as we had more than our fair chances to wrap the game up long before then - Ighalo in particular looked well off the pace, what happened to all that chasing back he did at Brighton? For once Slav made a mistake taking Vydra off and keeping on Layun for the full 90, granted he wasn't to know Ighalo would be so disappointing, but he could have tried substituting Munari for Layun, I mean why have him on the bench if you're never going to play him?

Meh, the celebrations were already done and dusted last weekend, which makes me all the more gutted that I couldn't make Brighton - I wouldn't have cared so much if we'd lifted the trophy today! Worth waiting at the end though to hear Deeney's rousing speech, that man is a WFC legend in so many ways - funny, charismatic, a born leader, and above all a great player with amazing goal scoring ability and workrate second to virtually none I've seen at our club. One goal shouldn't diminish what has been a tremendous achievement for all involved in the toughest and most exciting promotion race for years, and we must look with positivity and confidence towards next season with what will surely be our best chance of staying and establishing ourselves in the Premier League.

Boro beat us twice this season, when we played away they absolutely schooled us, best performance against us I think this year.

Second time at home, we should have won comfortably in my opinion, but they got a penalty for 1-0 and defended well to see out the game.

Hopefully we'll get a bit of luck and get past them, but they are definitely favourites for me. Think we could do a job against anyone in the final.

Good luck to all teams in the playoffs; tight competition this year and all on merit. Defence has let us down massively the last few months.

Play-Offs are great fun as a neutral. Championship and L1's should both be good 'un's this year.

I just don't understand how we have been making the same farcical errors game after game.

Ipswich v Brentford final. Would love to see Brentford in the Prem.

That Ipswich v Norwich play off semi is going to be feisty!

As usual the Championship brings drama right till the end!

Well done Bournemouth and good luck to those in the play-offs.

A disappointing 2nd half from us but Sheffield Wednesday showed their battling qualities their fans deserved.

Was a bit of a damper on the post match celebrations but we had the benefit of late goals last weekend.

Can't believe I'm one victorious two-legged tie away from seeing Norwich at Wembley :cool1:

It'd be gutting not to get there now. Doubly so as it would mean losing to Ipswich. This tie was talked about as a play-off possibility months ago, but I never thought it would actually happen.

Very strange end to the season for me, I pretty much expected Norwich to get Ipswich but not in the manner it's turned out!

5th place flatters Brentford a bit after their indifferent form up until their last two games (I was certain that Ipswich and Derby would get at least the point they needed each to keep Brentford out, how wrong could I be especially in Derby's case), but they'll be going into the play-offs with the least expectancy and pressure so that could work to their advantage to some extent.

Thinking about it I'd rather play Ipswich now than in the final. I think we'll have to much for them over two legs but they could quite easily beat us in one of them. Don't think it really matters who you get in the final, anything can happen in a one off game and it's not as if any of the teams here are rubbish.

I am now a Brentford fan for the next couple weeks, come on!

This division is incredible and mad. I don't imagine it'll be too long before we're back here sharing the madness with you all. And ill be watching closely next season, you don't get rid of me that easy. In the meantime we'll get a chance to sample the plastic league and see what that's all about.

What a day. Typical Ipswich to keep us guessing till (almost) the very end (thanks Reading.. and derby )

Whilst it does nothing for my nerves, and it sets up the next 2 weeks to either be one of the best or worst in my life, I'm glad we're not playing Boro over 2 legs... Norwich I fear much, much less over 2 games. They'll be favourites but no heads will turn if we beat them- I fancy it to come down to a goal, either way.

I'm making the 12 hour :bl: round trip by train for Saturday, will have the agony of watching the away leg on TV.
