I thought ipswich was certain for top 6 few weeks ago but signing Luke Varney onloan gives me less confidence that they can get the goals besides from Freddie Sears

There's no secret that our midfield don't score- I'm not overly concerned that this will cost us in the last 10 games though, Murph & Sears should get a little help from the back 4 and that should be enough.

What I AM concerned about is how many weak goals we're conceding. If something is gunna cost us this season, I reckon that will be it.

EDIT: Whooops - I read your message as Chaplow. As Bobbin' has said below, Varney isn't pushing for a start.

Varney is a back-up, he's behind Murphy, Sears, Wood and McGoldrick.

He just seems like a strange signing if he's not going yo improve you, it was the same when we signed him, he doesn't do anything special except work hard in training but what help is that, only good he's done is dive for a penalty against Leeds for us.

Huh what?! Ok.. weird...shall look into

Ah the messages tell me there was a backup restore that means some of yesterday was lost.

But yeah as nice as it is to read the article, it's all hypothetical bollocks at this point!!

We have three holding midfielders. Thorne injured, Eustace injured, and now so is Mascarell. So we field a 19 year old kid for his first ever start today.

Injuries have just killed our promotion hopes. Just need to get them back for the end, and hope we can win the playoffs this time.

Norwich, enjoy your three points.

Come on Rammy it's way , way too early to be writing off your season and claiming your promotion hopes have been killed.

You have a squad full of talent and a division with everyone tripping over each other.

Not if we don't get through this week against teams around us, which with these injuries we are not going to.

At least 3-0 to Norwich today.

Don't worry you'll finish above us and Wolves might just be too far back. Play offs at least for your lot.

We can wave goodbye to this and it's all thanks to MM stubbornness. Yes he saved us from league 1 but Christ he's just so negative. Last 3 games we needed to win and he has said before all that he'd settle for a point.

He stated Boro as a must win, I don't think you can blame his approach today.

Brentford loss and a couple of unlikely draws this afternoon please, lads.

From five points clear at the top of the league, to 5th and 3 pts behind in four games.

Injuries have killed us, but that's still pathetic.

Us vs Middlesbrough next week has draw written all over it, but if there is a winner they look to be the ones with the title to lose.

Crazy league. It'll be 1-1 and we'll be 3rd and 4th

1-1 at Carrow Road.

We'll still lose, but if we can hang on to this I'd be delighted.

Ended 1-1 at Carrow Road. We needed a bit of luck, but rode it out. Win at home against Boro, and we'll be back on track. COYR!

We gifted the points away today. Their only two shots on target from horrendous goal keeping errors by Button (both open goals). Will be remarkable if we go up this season, too many defensive errors, giving a goal away every other game.

Other than that we played very well and should have scored a few. Aim has got to be just to hold onto the play offs now!

I am ruling Wolves out, don't have the quality to force the issue in the playoffs I don't believe, especially not with Wednesday, Derby, Forest as the next 3. Tough run of games to be using to make up ground.

You're assuming we will start to win games again?

While I'm not going to completely rule us out à la James, it's still ridiculously close, think it might be difficult to make up 3 points on three of Bournemouth, Watford, Middlesbrough and Derby. I'd maybe back us to catch Middlesbrough/Derby but struggle to see us overhauling Bournemouth or Watford.

Confident we'll finish top six now. Just hope that if we do, we bottle them because I really, really don't want us to go up. If that makes me a bad fan, so be it but I'd much rather stay here.

Martin is back is he not? Can see you improving with that and sorting your act out.

Nope, and he won't be back for Tuesday either.

Currently we have Martin, Bent, Thorne, Mascarell, Eustace, and Buxton injured.

Martin and Bent being our only recognised strikers.
Thorne, Mascarell, and Eustace being our three holding midfielders...hence a kid playing there today.

Derby losing form just at a bad time for them.

Mind you those who go top seem to lose!

Never saw us getting anywhere near the top two after the bournemouth result and now we sit top with 8 to go, hopefully we will still be ignored by all the 'experts' though.

Being top is a curse though. You'll be shit for a few games now.

Think the top 2 is out of our reach now unless we win nearly all of our remaining games.
