We are shite. I think I’d underestimated just how shite we are. This is the worst team we’ve had since we’ve been back in this league. Even Pressley’s team 2 years ago would wipe the floor with this shower of shit.

Interesting that this start to the season is the worst we’ve had since 03/04. That season we were relegated from the football league.

Today we genuinely struggled to beat a 7th tier team who’d won one league game all season. We have the most inept set of attackers I think I’ve ever seen. Some of them wouldn’t get a game for teams 2 levels below. And the attitude of most players absolutely stinks.

January is going to be huge, because if we don’t bring in the right players and characters, we are down. Simple as that.

There is always one side which makes an epic last dash for relegation (probably us) and scunthorpe and oldham appear to be equally (if not more) hopeless.

I’d imagine stevenage won’t be far off either - if you lose to us at home you’ve got to be pretty terrible

I can see Oldham doing more or less what they did last year - pulling off a great escape with a bit of flair, and keeping the utter insanity, at best, of their off-pitch situation from affecting their performance as much as it could.

Can't even feign such optimism for Scunny or Team Burger King at this point though. Not sure when or if either would come up again if they did go down, either.

Sunderland must be pretty terrible as well then.

Oldham look like a half decent team, it’s the background issues which are dragging them down. Unless Curle walks or is axed think they survive.

I think Oldham will probably have enough about them to stay up, they're got quite a good squad really compared to other teams down here.

We're doomed unless our chairman puts his hand in his pocket in January and we're not too far adrift by then.

Lads, I said it at the start of the season and I’ll say it again - who are these supposedly good players we’ve got? They’re mostly crocks (as has been proven by most of them already having had spells on the sidelines). The squad is also very unbalanced - we don’t have a centre forward. We look okay because we don’t just lump it but it gets us absolutely nowhere.

I liked both Harrison McGahey and Jordan Clarke when they played here but I do imagine they're the crocks you're referring too as they were here.

I've also been very impressed with Kellior-Dunn, Nicky Adams and Callum Whelan when i've seen them play.

McGahey and Clarke both look good in spells but we let in a lot of goals. Part of that is the system we play which is down to Curle. Both have been injured already, yeah.

Adams was good and still has a decent delivery but is 35 now and not what he was. Keillor-Dunn scores good goals but drifts out of games too much. Whelan I do like but needs a grizzly old timer next to him. I think it’s probably more the team as a whole which is so unbalanced rather than individual players.

Fage looked good against us - is he another that blows hot and cold?

well that’s what they got for not starting a first XI. Nobody would miss stevenage if they went down, i don’t think anyone would notice in honesty.

Funny you say that - he was a running joke for a long time amongst Latics fans for being so bad. He has improved slightly and is now our longest serving player which says a lot. He’s got pace but not a great deal else but can see how he’d look good over a 10 minute cameo.

Having said all this, Ben Garrity was genuinely awful for most of last season and seems to be doing well at Vale this season so maybe there’s hope for Fage and the rest yet.

Hope you didn't watch our game last weekend on TV! Garrity had an absolute stinker to be fair, was Bradford's most creative player!

He looked like a classic wing back - can't defend, but has pace and energy to burn. Admittedly he stopped playing in the second half, but until then he was giving our left sided defenders the runaround.

We have failed to score in 7 of our last 8 league games.

It really is as simple as do or die for us in January. If we don’t get it right we will 100% be relegated.

As Michael Owen would say, if you don’t score a goal there’s not much chance of winning games.

Another week and more reasons to think we're doomed.

14 points lost from winning positions, 1 point gained you don't stand a chance with numbers like that. We play scared every week, players are frightened of making individual errors and that leads to them doing exactly that.

The problem being is scunthorpe were trying to do clever stuff they’re clearly not good enough to do (and nor are mansfield)

Daft flicks, passing around the back when you get dispossessed it’s a nonsense, stick to the basics.

In fairness that mansfield were behind in the first place was ridiculous but scunthorpe had a chance to hold out and do something but lacked the confidence and ability to do so, but ultimately scunny were the architects of their own downfall.

From that performance there is something that keith hill can work with, there’s a potential

We have two home games against Harrogate and Walsall coming up, followed by two away games at Mansfield and Stevenage.

By no means easy games when we’re this bad, but it’s a critical spell of games with some opportunities for points in there. If we don’t start getting results and winning at least a couple of these then I think we could be well adrift and as good as down by January.

Huge couple of weeks ahead.

Worst squad in the FL does that, our budget doesn't allow us to compete with teams like Mansfield unfortunately. Add the fact that our keeper was injured the day of the game and we had to bring an emergency loan in which didn't help matters.

We’re down. This squad is much much worse than I ever thought.

No manager is keeping this shower of shit up.

Just checking in - if we get nothing from our next couple of matches, it's a three-way battle for 22nd.

For the first time this season I'm genuinely concerned for our survival prospects. Winless for nine league games, a run where we played a number of teams around and below us. We can't score, so the best we can hope for is a draw. Two huge home games coming up against Salford and Swindon after the Cup weekend, fail to get a win from those and I really wouldn't know how we manage to accumulate a good enough points total.

Getting worried I may be joining this thread.

Just can't seem to get any sort of run going. I would say we are too good to go down but I've seen better teams than us go before.

We're on a nasty slide but it's way too early for anyone to be worried about relegation.

Hill has made us harder to beat but it's so difficult to win games with such poor quality in the team.

3 wins in our last 40 games, it's so grim.
