I've been following his stuff on sound cloud and enjoyed it.

I'll check out the album. :)

So a year later and we have an album.

https://hazdj.bandcamp.com/album/warehouse-weapon

Feedback would be great fellas.

Just had a listen through. I like it. :) I obviously don't know that much about music production but it all sounds pretty tight to me from what I can hear.

The only track that I am not keen on is "Empathy", there is just something about it that annoys me I don't know if it's just a bit to busy or what. I don't like "Warehouse siren" either, it reminds me a bit of the drumcode/big room sound that I used to like but it's well made and I am sure people will love it.

"Awake" is a lovely track, builds really nicely and you can imagine getting lost in a club to it. "All the Things" was a pleasant surprise, it's so easy to get tracks with female vocals in them wrong but he got it right here and I really enjoyed it.

"Peaking" is a nice driver, sounds pretty menacing and I like the breakdown. It reminds me of another song that I've heard before but I can't put my finger on it. Where as I didn't think much of "Warehouse Siren" I really like "Warehouse Weapon" the bleeps keep me interested throughout the song. Little touches like that in Techno can make or break a song for me.

"Shit Berlin 4am Track" easily my favorite track on the album. Fucks with your head, lots of nice little noises to keep it interesting and it's banging.

I've always liked the mellow stuff that I've heard on his soundcloud and so it's no surprise that I like both "Calm before the Storm" and "A pleasant Comedown"

I've only had a couple of listens so far mind, I wish I could give a more technical and useful evaluation but as I said I am not an expert. I listen to a lot of music though and I enjoyed most of the songs in this album and would use them when playing out or dance to them if someone else was playing them. :)

I think he could send some of his tracks off to labels and be confident that some will get back to him but I can appreciate why he can't be bothered with that. It's worth trying though, a producer from Bristol called Progression got his first record signed up to Blueprint and then Mord so it does happen.

I've shared them on my facebook, to a few friends and posted them on the Techno Bandcamp page just in case he hasn't already. Will download it myself at some point. :)

Cheers for that Natch. Linked this to him earlier and he said he was beaming after reading it. Glad you like.

Haha, never known what that tune is called. Was it you that originally posted a Dean T mix that had this and a horrible but awesome Pink remix on it? Can't remember if I found that myself or you posted it on TFF?

Yeah he does those terrible three choon mixes that don't drop at the right place. I can't find that one now though. Not sure if it's taken down or the song name isn't in the description so can't find it in a search.

He's had a bit of success with this. Scuba noticed it, has followed him on twitter and played Empathy on his radio show before giving the whole album and his bandcamp a big shout out.

Wow man that's cool! That's the way to do it. Scuba is sound and his label hotflush is alright. :) He's definitely got the talent there.

Funny though as I didn't like Empathy. :p Although Scuba plays a fair bit of stuff I'm not massively into tbf. Still enjoy his sets though.

I'm off to Don't! In London this weekend. Si Begg and Jerome Hill on Duty so should be good then going to head down for the Jaded after party where the regulars will be banging it out before Dax J takes us into Sunday afternoon. Cant wait! Not working at the moment so got to take the chance to to do Jaded. :)

Anyone else seen that former snooker world champion Steve Davis is now a techno dj.... And he's supposed to be quite good?

I saw him playing at Bloc. Was good. Plays lots of different stuff though.

There a good photo of him dancing at the front of Appleblim (I think) at Bloc. :)

I'm not a massive fan of Tale of Us but their remix of an Alex Smoke track is pretty interesting:

Had a brilliant weekend last week. The Don't night at 512 in Dalston was pretty good, great crowd and the music was decent although it didn't always flow so well for me and it was a bit busy at times with some well sleazy men! - Mig was a highlight though:

We headed down to Jaded after where resident Raymundo Rodriguez was already banging it out, I love this guy, he always seems to play lots of tunes that catch my ear. Chris Stanford then played a great 3 hour set which included some nice uplifting sounds for about 30 minutes. It was difficult to see how Dax J could top it really but boy he did, he absolutely smashed us through until 3pm but left everyone wanting more. I would highly recommend checking them all out. This was probably one of the best Jaded's we've been too and Corsica Studios is the perfect venue for me - Small, dark with an absolutely brilliant soundsystem. Perfect way to spend a Sunday.

Any fellow ravers doing Creamfields this year? I know it's a bit commercial but still a brilliant weekend, and one hell of a lineup to boot.

Not for me that one - I went years ago in around 2008 and had a great time though. Think I saw Underworld, Ian Brown and Tiesto before he turned from trance so it was a pretty good one. Not my thing now really looking at the line up.

Yeah that's the one I'm looking forward to most. Holding it in the steel yard thing they got there this year which should make it even better.

Sasha announced for a gig in Cardiff on the 29th of July. Another one I'm really looking forward to.

Pretty sweet that!

Nice mix from Sfile and Mark Broom here. Scuba's podcast was good this week too.

Off for the first time in a little while tomorrow. Spider,Rodhad and Radio Slave in London so started to get pretty excited now. Last couple of nights have been a bit tame so hoping for a good one.
