Can we just "give over" with this.
Its a bit of fun, I still can't work out if B2TF is serious with all he keeps on about or if its just tongue in cheek or he is trying to wind everyone up!

I'd say a bit of all 3 so just take the thread as banter. And yeah, anybody annoyed by any posters in the forum, just ignore.

Note: I was serious about Darlo having never gone bust, though

I’ve just had a preliminary request emailed to me for acceptance into the Brotherhood for 2020/21.
Thoughts guys?

Brother Scunthorpe would be accepted, of course.

A hellhole that we haven't won at since about 1958 or something but a Brother nonetheless. Membership package on its way as we speak.

Anyone got an updated table?

By my reckoning, we're top of both the Brotherhood table and the AFC Brotherhood table :bdick:

It's GTFCfish 's duty to do the table so we're all on the edge of our seats waiting for it...

Correct me if I'm wrong but one of the main aims of the ORIGINAL Brotherhood (® &™ 2013) is clearly being disregarded by a good number of clubs. Chapter 1 paragraph 3 states that brotherhood clubs must work together to ensure that not a single amateur hobby club makes it to the promised land that is the FL.

Therefore, this whole 'real' (LOL) brotherhood league is indeed a farce. The only matches that should matter are those ones where proper clubs come up against any one of the bankrolled tinpotters aiming to win promotion at the expense of proper clubs.

So, in short, who cares if, say, Pools beat fellow bros Wrexham and Torquay but then slip up every single time they face one of the hobby clubs?

Ok so by my reckoning there have been 6 games so far which are:
Hartlepool 4-2 Wrexham
Notts 1-1 Stockport
Notts 1-1 Wrexham
Stockport 2-0 Chesterfield
Torquay 1-2 Hartlepool
Wrexham 1-2 Stockport
which gives this table:
F60FDB43-4D53-43C5-8E89-98E7D85071A4.jpeg

So Stockport and Hartlepool lead the way but for me the real leaders in this are Notts County, new to the Brotherhood this year yet already they know the score with 2 Brotherly draws from 2 games, not like greedy Stockport and Hartlepool who have each already beaten 2 fellow Brothers and quite frankly should be ashamed of themselves.

Yes, excellent stuff from Brother Notts County. Certainly winning the August Brother of the Month award.

Brother Stockport needs to calm down and realise they were never forgotten about during their stay in National North. We always included them in all Brotherhood related discussions.

Good work Bruv but a suggestion if I may - the team title should be Brother but I won't ask you to edit it as you've done it all by hand and it'd be cruel to force upon an esteemed Brother another painstaking physical task.

I'm happy to see Notts won Brother of the Month it's well deserved and they are making an outstanding contribution so far.

One thing though, in the early stages Brothers are allowed to win games against one another, but later in the season, a directorate will be sent out to all Brothers that after February (or the 28 game mark - whichever is sooner), lower placed Brothers who beat higher ones will have points docked.

That is correct, as per the usual rules. Towards the season's conclusion the Brother most in need of the points in terms of promotion or playoffs take precedent.

Also a Brother helping another one out by beating a challenging tinpotter who is getting in the way of the Natural Order™ is also highly commended come the end of season awards.

They should be handsomely rewarded for duties to the Real Brotherhood with either a) bonus points or b) an end of season award or C) both. What ya reckon?

A Highly Commended award should suffice. Depends on the situation though.

If it directly results in a Brotherhood promotion then a Victoria Cross is in order.

I just want to commend Fish who has clearly used a T-Square in the creation of his table, some fantastic line work there.

Exemplary stuff!

August Real Brotherhood League Golden Boot winners:

Gime Toure, Liam Noble & Elliot Osbourne with TWO GOALS EACH.

They win a pair of tickets to a Real Brotherhood game of their choice (when their own team isn't playing), including a free copy of The Real Brotherhood Doctrine, free Brotherly hospitality, with complimentary handshakes and hugs.

Congratulations lads!

Apologies Brother, here you go, updated original post too.

But surely only having draws would hamstring us all, as it's 2 points to the Proper Teams, whereas one win each gives out 3

Not exactly

Draws are the most favourable outcome (to promote respect) so are awarded 2 points. However, later in the season when one or more of us are pushing for promotion and lower placed Brothers have the audacity to win or draw and potentially going against the promotion of the natural order then they will be docked points. More info on how this works will be given nearer the time.

With the inclusion of the goodwill system, the winners of this league are not necessarily those who win the most games but those with the most goodwill bonuses.

You will need to be careful though that your supporters don’t get ‘spoilt’ by watching thrilling 0-0 draws with Boreham Wood like we did according to Paul Hurst esq.

You are absolutely correct Brother Vanni, this table thing is a Mickey Mouse brotherhood, a sideshow to the real purpose of the original concept. A handful of Wrexham and Hartlepool fans have gone what you might call "native" and in doing so have made themselves Tin Pot. They're an embarrassment to their clubs, and The Brotherhood. :bdick::bdick:
