A fan to cool one's room down seems quite REDUNDANT in DEEPEST DARKEST SCOTCHLAND

Are you sure you're not using it to CHOP UP MIDGES

This fan to cool my room down. Its a bit big and bloody noisy, and when your in it even on the lowest setting you feel like you are near a helicopter - but it doesn't half do the job lol! Can only have it on for a few minutes, but any hot phases I get are quickly quenched by this behemoth!

and of course when you have cooled down you could enjoy....

Was looking at them yesterday, but resisted the temptation! Bought a family bag of Maltesers instead! :D

Not technically something I bought as it was bought for me, but I was looking for Laphroaig Quarter Cask in Sainsbury's - AND THEY BLOODY DISCONTINUED IT! Anyway to soften the blow I got a Bunny 12 instead; not had this in a couple of years and it was one of my whisky first loves! :D

Couple of Edradour's. Shouldn't have bought them on the week I needed a new tyre, and will have to pay a kings ransom on the car again next week - but wth, whisky is one of life's great joys!

Given up on the single malts in this weather and gone for an indulgent old favourite.

Good inclusion of the cushion and overall solid presentation. However, the vegetables appear to have been picked off a palm tree. 8.5/10.

Excellent sock cameo as well in the bottom right-hand corner of that photo.

Very good knitwear although it doesn't seem quite appropriate for the season. Having said that, I have made the perhaps erroneous assumption that it is a woollen garment, which is unlikely to be the case if the wearer is a vegan. Please enlighten us on this matter.

It's actually a slipper. It was oddly cold earlier on today. It's not woollen - it is very much vegan.

A Bosch leaf blower/vacum. fed up with all the shit leaves that lands in (especially) my front garden so we've invested in one of these....only £65 so hopefully it does away with some of the stress of collecting by hand!

On my journey back from darkest Bolivia, who should I find on our flight between La Paz and Santa Cruz? None other than the the squad and management of The Strongest ( http://www.club-thestrongest.com/site/ ). They were on the way to play El Club Blooming ( http://www.club-blooming.com/ ).

Since I had the shirt in my carry-on, I caused some mirth and consternation ( as a 65 year old white bearded gringo) by claiming I was their biggest British fan and asking some of them to sign it. They had a noisy and excitable card school going before we taxied from the stand and it was still going as we touched down. We were sat in the middle of it but thankfully it was only a 50 minute flight.

Blooming won 2-1 but the The Strongest remain top of the league.

Bloody hell Leo, you're retired, what else have you got to do, if not picking up leaves by hand?
Aw man, I may just have to revert to such tactics. I've mentioned it before but I really am utterly useless at assembling products...really I require a 'Fucking idiots guide' ! OK, earlier I opened the box in which the leaf blower/vacum was in....took one look at all the parts......picked up & looked at the assembly instruction sheet (& this is true mate....I was initially looking at the pictures upside down trying to understand them..... )....and within 2 minutes stuck it back in the box and reverted to alcohol. Problem has now been passed on to wife............made her a coffee so she aint tooooo annoyed.

My Other half recently bought a spiralizer. I was in The dog house for not being at all impressed. We spiralised a beetroot, and cooked it, and it was quite nice with some cheese and things baked. Then it went back in it’s box, and has stayed there!

I did the same thing with my slow cooker.
