So, the super duper man manager Harry Redknapp tried sending our only January signing back at the last minute. Only to be told he's not allowed. What a way to build some confidence.

We are a complete joke.

I'm going for Hull (they made us look like a world class outfit on Saturday for fucks sake!), QPR (good to see old 'arry living up to my expectations of him as a manager, namely spending a shit load of money on average players and then looking bemused when the wheels fall off), and then either Burnley or Leicester to join them. As utterly shocking as Villa are looking (over ten hours played without scoring a single goal) they'll do just enough to stay up I reckon, largely due to the fact that the teams below them are even worse.

Not sure if the resignation of Houdini is a good or bad thing for the fellow strugglers. QPR may actually get points on their travels!

Still pretty certain that Hull and QPR will go down along with either Leicester or Burnley. The only other club who could go down is Villa and I can't see it.

I agree about Villa, I know they've been dog shit this season but I just can't imagine a club the size of them being relegated. Then again I couldn't imagine us being relegated back in 2009 but that didn't stop us!

Nigel Pearson is such an intolerable, smug wanker. Very strange considering how crap his side is. What on earth was he doing with McCarthur, it was a genuine accident.

In his post-match press conference he told journos that he reacted to something McCarthur had said. He also mentioned that he turned down a move to Leicester in the summer after a few had been agreed.

Doesn't justify throttling the lad obviously., but maybe there's some history there?

I want Burnley to survive but their habit of drawing games they should be winning is going to come back to haunt them. 18th I reckon.

Two massive games tonight. Can only see a Defoe inspired drubbing for us, hopefully Hull v Villa is the dull 0-0 most are expecting.

About time they went down. It'll do them good and give the rest of us a break from them.

They have been a relegation in waiting for about 5 years, wish they'd fuck off and experience the Championship.

Best 45 minutes away since we were first promoted in 2010 (including every away performance last season), 2 excellent goals to cap it off.

Second half was backs to the walls stuff, but defence held strong and Green made at least 2 world class (no exaggeration) saves when they were breached.

I don't mind going down as long as QPR join us, they shouldn't even be near this league.

So Villa are in the relegation zone for the first time of the season. You really do feel that Lambert needs to be sacked now otherwise it'll be too late especially since they still have some winable home fixtures (West Brom, QPR & Burnley). Massive win for Hull though. Not sure what is happening with them but a draw at City followed by a home win (ok it was only Villa) is great for a struggling side.
QPR's first away win since Barnsley last May. They are out of the relegation zone for the first time since the turn of the year and have stopped the rot of 4 successive defeats. Strange what a change in management can do...
Leicester look doomed I'm afraid. Next two games are Everton and Man City away and I can see them losing both of those with other teams picking up points here and there. They're already 4 pts adrift at the bottom.

I can just see Pardew beating Newcastle tonight strengthening Palace's chances of survival. Actually I can see West Brom beating Swansea as well for some reason.

Leicester were superb last night. Absolutely no idea what they're doing at the bottom. Tbf we were rubbish.

I'd say failing to get anything from that game highlights exactly why they are bottom. They created far more chances yet only took one while letting in two soft goals.

If Leicester are to find away to stay up, it'll surely start with dropping Morgan.

I still think Newcastle could get dragged into the discussion. they have a very tough run of games coming up they could feasibly get nothing from any of them.

City Away
Villa at home (new manager syndrome, massive game for Newcastle)
Man United at home
Everton away
Arsenal at home
Sunderland away (another massive game in their fight to stay up)
Liverpool Away
Spurs at home

then 3 of the last 5 after that are against teams fighting for survival. That said if they beat Villa and Sunderland they'll be safe and in all likelyhood there will be at least 2 orther sides as well as Leicester who are gone already who wont pick up enough points ot overhaul them but it's far from cut and dried

Massive game for us on Saturday . If we lose it puts Poyet under even more pressure and to be honest I don't think we'll survive, we really are that bad.
