I actually think Gary Rowett might not be a good fit for Huddersfield if Wagner does go. Him and Wagner have completely different styles of play and of course a lot of those players will have been brought in specifically by Wagner for those tactics especially the Germans. Would be a risk for sure.
Agree. Tough to replace Wagner and maintain the form they've been in.

Nice to see some loyalty I guess.

I presume he won't be kicked out at the first sign of a bad run like so many managers are given the great start he has made.

If Gary Rowett is first choice and he ain't interested, look to Mick McCarthy. He is practically the same.

Gary Rowett's managerial style is defence-minded, zero flair but solid and difficult to beat.

I think he is most comparable to Mick McCarthy. There are no sour grapes, or blueberries.
From what I've seen/heard, that seems like a fair comparison. Some stats to back this up (from last season): Birmingham averaged 45.1% possession (24th in the league) and 67.4% pass completion (21st).

I find it pretty funny that so many of our fans are desperate for McCarthy to go because of his style of play but want Rowett to replace him.

Never would I think I'd see a manager reject a club like Wolfsburg to stay at Huddersfield. Fair play to him, loyalty like that is a dying trait.

How long is Holloway going to last? This will be six consecutive losses, and QPR aren't known for their patience.

Alex Neil too. There was pressure when we beat them, what, about five weeks ago? I thought that was ridiculous then but their form has been shocking since.

I always think on occasion it's worth riding it out for a manager who has proved they can do the job before, but they've gone from being sure fire top 3 from my perspective to struggling to make the top six.

Only 1 point out of 12 for Zola - pressure might be on already.

Birmingham have been really screwed over by this takeover. Why do people try to fix things that aren't broken?

McCarthy sounds absolutely dejected in his post match interview, pig sick of the fans. Hmm...

Surely Mick has to go soon? You should really be top half with the squad you have.

I disagree, looking at Ipswich's team it really doesn't look top half standard at all and thats the problem. Whether you blame MM for that, or their owner Evans I'm not sure.

Defensively they look slid enough, but I don't rate their midfield at all. Strikers don't seem all that either.

Standard of the team doesn't even come into it. Whether we're 'top half' or 'bottom half' standard is irrelevant, we're fundamentally flawed, and going nowhere, no risk of the going up nor down (at least for a few seasons).

Fortunately, albeit painfully slowly, he's on his way out. Could audibly hear it in his responses yesterday, and perhaps in the last few weeks, coupled with the cliched vote of confidence he was given recently in the match programme. I just wish Evans would go with him.

Again very similar to his story at Wolves. Eventually we sacked him after we lost 5-1 at home to our rivals West Brom.

... When do you play Norwich?

Wednesday fan meltdown again tonight and some fans calling for the managers head. Drama queens.

End of February. Can't see Mick being sacked on the back of one result though, whatever it is. Barring disaster (i.e. being in genuine danger of getting relegated), I expect him to be in the job until the end of the season.

Tbf you haven't watched what we have this season, we're hanging on in the play offs because our squad is good enough, Carlos changed his system from last season and it's stifling our creativity, our luck will run out soon

It's still pathetic. You're in the top 6, end of.

From the outside I'm aware how it sounds, but we've been in this position before not so long ago, we were 2nd in league 1 when people were asking for Alan Irvine to be sacked, everyone said it was stupid, 2 months later when he was eventually sacked we were 13th and stood no chance of going up that season
