Marco Bielsa is an anagram of America Slob. Or Mrs Eco Labia. Just sayin'.

But whoever Leeds appoint, they will be next to be sacked.

10 managers in 4 years, what a fucking disgrace. 4 months?! If I was any reasonable manager I wouldn't be going anywhere near Leeds.

no reasonable manager will join Leeds

Bielsa confirmed...………………………… mic drop

you honestly believe that any other club outside the premier league apart from Villa and a few others could have made this appointment?

What does he know about the Championship. I can't believe he would be at home watching Burton vs Bolton on TV so he will need to learn a new league, with teams he has probably never heard of very quickly.

You really don't know much about Bielsa.

in his interview he said he has already studied where we went wrong last season and watched over 20 games of last season, The long suffering fan in me refuses to get drawn nito the excitement but thank fuck its not another Hockaday or Heckingbottom!

Good appointment, maybe. He is obviously a top manager, but he's also a bit unpredictable, and could quite easily walk out on you halfway through a season. You're right though, not many clubs from outside the prem could attract him.

Good manager on paper, gets hyped up a lot because Pep and Poch say a few nice words about him, he can't speak English, as with all foreign appointments it could go either way.

It seems with this new takeover a change of manager will happen. Thierry Henry being linked with us. When will we learn.

At least the takeover is good news.
Brilliant news. From what I gather, we need to sell still and next season we will be relying on loans just to fall in line with FFP. After that, I think we are in the clear. By selling our best players will rule us out of the promotion race, so midtable wouldn't be a disaster, then try again the following season with a few decent signings. If Bruce gets forced out, then whoever comes in will have limited resources to work with next season. Henry is a huge name in football, but a big gamble imo.

Must be a three horse race between Luhukay, Clement and McClueless as to who gets sacked first? Hopefully Clement so it makes me look smart. :bg:

Bit harsh? Forest and Boro two of your first three games, both will be in the top six. Tough start that.
Not imo - spent a lot of money here and he said we want season upon season progression. Not a chance we better our finish from last year so if Lansdown has any minerals he'll pull the trigger soon.

No chance, even if he deserves / deserved to go. Uncle Steve will let us go down before getting rid of his chum.
That said, if he carries on banging on about budgets and finances, SL might just tell him to do one but I can't see it personally.

Lee Johnson is cack though, only looks competent for 50% of the season.

I think he's had a massive collapse or a terrible start in each of the seasons he's been a manager.

For what it’s worth I enjoy the type of football Johnson has us playing.. a much better style than what we’ve seen from managers before him. It clicked beginning of last season, and everyone around the place was buzzing.. shit second half of last season, and so far (only 3 games in) by a great start to this and the majority want him out again.

It’s our defence that lets us down massively for me, we can have all the possession in the world but 1 or 2 individual errors a game at the back is hurting us massively at the moment. Annoying because we aren’t giving the opposition a lot of chances to score.. but when they do get the chance, our defence crumbles.

I still want him to stay personally.

Mentioned in the match day thread but rumours are if we don’t win then we will sack McClaren. Seems insane to say that after 4 league games.

Jos Luhukay would have been under severe presure had we lost last night but players put in a solid performance showing fight and passion for first time this season.

He keeps bringing in youngsters from academy which some of fans aren't giving him credit for. 3 of 4 defenders and goalkeeper were all academy products last night.

Same again on Saturday v Ipswich and he'll be safe for a few more weeks.

Luhukay doesn't seem to be as gobby as Carlos from the snippets I hear on Radio Sheffield (probably helped by the tiff that Wednesday are having with the BBC this season). He just seems to get on with it, which I like more.

There shouldn't be any talk about Luhukay getting the sack at this point, it's mainly the Owlstalk mongs but if it was down to them we'd have 6 managers a season. He's been dealt a shit hand, had the worst injury crisis I've ever seen in football to deal with last season, then the clubs been under an embargo since April meaning that up until it being lifted last week he's had the same squad with the same issues in it as the previous 2 seasons. He's only been allowed to bring in one player, Joey Pelupessy last January and that was a real bargain bucket signing who will still hopefully improve. His trust in the youth is also something to commend, if we finish somewhere between 9th-13th this season he's done a decent job.
