to most of us its a decent sum, but probably not to him
Agreed, if I lost that amount of money I would definitely want it back and if I did manage to get it back, I would ensure it stayed back for good.

Could say that... the glorious campaign we shared with you guys in 2012/13 is already long in the memory.

Will always have a soft spot for the Vale because of that season.

Is your club still split up between 3 companies, and if so, which ones are up for sale?

I know the club and ground are separate... allegedly they are all up for sale for a cool £6 million rather than the realistic 1.5 million.

One possible suggestion is like with Nuneaton he would look to keep the ground and rent it to us? Not ideal by any means.

This has been coming for a while now. Like Micky Adams said in his book, we are just one of those clubs that is similar to a soap opera. There’s always something going on which hits the news headlines.

These depressing times are just something I’m used to and accept now. Throughout my life as a Vale fan I’ve witnessed about 2 or 3 good seasons and one promotion.

I just wish for some good times... The good away days with your mates, walking to a home game and not dreading it, the hope of a promotion. All seem a distant memory.

There is absolutely no way that Gorman is losing money. In fact I’d say he’s in the positive to the tune of a good few million quid from us taking into account player sales along with the FACT he takes all profit from the club shop sales which he owns under an entirely separate entity. He’s a liar, a snake and a cheat.

The black and gold campaign is starting to gain traction and more fans are starting to wake up. It’s going to be another long battle but I’m confident we can get rid of him. It’s going to get messy and personal (it has started to with rumours of his extra marital affairs with women at the club going around) but we will get there.

I wish I could share your optimism dave, about getting rid of him, but it’s not as easy as last time, and that wasn’t easy!
While we’re on facts, I know of at least 3 box holders who have paid cash direct this year with no receipt.
I really despise the man, and despair at our situation, and I really can’t see an end to it.
I think he’ll be loving the attention, and couldn’t give a toss about the protests, in fact I think it’ll make him dig in and let us die.
I hope i’m wrong, but i’ll fight on with all other vale fans to the bitter end.
I’ve never felt so low as a vale fan.

I only hope that if we do go to the wall, that there are people standing by with a plan. If there are, they are keeping pretty quite at the moment.

Early days but I guess if the club died we would come back like Wimbledon/Darlington/Chester/Hereford I guess..

Possibly depending on the covenant not at Vale Park but Kidsgrove and work back up over time. Would be one of the bigger clubs to go totally out of existence if it happened so surely some fans would set it up.

Some muted conversations about it and will likely grow if the situation deepens further I guess. If they didn't reform I dont think I could just support someone else, despite some Sjoke fans thinking it would make them more powerful as the only club in the city!

He just adds himself to a long long list of disgraceful owners and when things go south, they turn nasty and vindictive . Plenty of examples especially at this level .

I have read this thread with some sadness. I lived and worked in Stoke for seven years in the 80s 90s, and was regular attender at Vale park. I lived next door to Roy Sprosons wife, Roy having passed away. I remember the Man U game, and a promotion cracker v Sheff U, amongst others. So sad.

Rest assured, at this moment in time, Norman is rattled. He thought he was invincible but he's suddenly realised that he's dealing with a group of people that have the nous to delve into what he's always assumed to be private affairs.

I hope so Bede, we need to get this man out and get our club back (again). It feels hopeless at the moment on and off the field but something has to give sooner or later.

this is very much the way to go. Protests and marches wont have as much impact, but pressure is required from every direction. Hit him in the pocket and he will feel it. Im not spending a penny in the club shop anymore, but will still support the 11 who wear the shirt.

Banner being taken for protests at Cheltenham tomorrow, and a red card and post match protest against Mansfield announced.

Notts County away would be good to target as we take good followings there.

See what is being released later about a conversation between Smurf and a B&G member.

Intriguing development, Vale fans have been trying to follow Charlton's example of getting support for Vale Park to be reclassified as a Community Asset... turns out now Smurf is already in the process of doing it... but why?

Smurf has requested to meet with representatives of Black and Gold and agreed to terms that the meeting will be minuted and have legal representation.

This when he is back from Hong Kong discussing a take over deal....

This guy is wasting his time. He should be writing books or film plots. Nobody would believe them though
