I agree Kieran, we would lose sympathy if started anything stupid .
Definitely a line not to cross and i guess people can be swayed by emotions.

I haven't the answer and people like Mark Porter/Ally Simcock are far cleverer than me i'm sure.
It just seemed to lack oomph on Saturday and as you and VF16 said it was short notice, but in this age of social media i'm amazed if word didn't get round.

I advocated copying Charlton and Coventry with lobbing tennis balls on the pitch, gets the game stopped and national media aroused.
Again only my opinion but standing like a tailors dummy holding up a tatty piece of red paper isn't my bag.

At least Colin Murray discussed it with Holloway on Quest anyway, so despite my reservations about it all been too placid things are getting media attention.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the club actually split 3 ways? Merchandise and matchday money/the ground/the actual club.

All three separate companies owned by Smurf.
The whole thing is complex mate and i doubt even the clown himself knows.
What we do know as it came from his mouth that no refreshment sales revenue goes into the club. He seems , and i know it sounds ridiculous , but to stock up pies etc himself and snacks, and he has all the profits.
I might be going senile which i probably am, but i swear once he was actually serving behind a kiosk ? Someone will confirm this or say i'm talking crap.

The ground is separate and once he did this we were in shit creek.
In his garbled/ pissed up radio interview on Saturday he spitefully said' you can't get rid of me as i'll be the landlord' .

Again this raises worries that his rent charges will be astronomical and price us out.

He has on occasions served behind the away end kiosk, i actually thought at the time "fair play" mucking in to help out... but doesn't he often bring the food in his car from the suppliers i'd read?

Would ordering 1000 smurfwaite masks be be in bad taste, or would you see the funny side. Asking for a mate..................

In all seriousness, I'm willing to support any protest against Norm. Never liked him from day one and he's never liked Crewe. Apart from the match ticket i never buy anything from Vale anyway, so that won't be a problem.

Out of interest what has he ever done to suggest a hatred of Crewe?

I don't think he's done anything bad towards us. He goaded us on Twitter several times but always seemed to end up with egg on his face so it was incredibly funny.

There was also the time he claimed he feared for his safety just because a few of our fans called him a wanker from several rows away.

In all seriousness though hope you get the fucker out of the Vale. I'm sick to death of hearing about him for a start but also no fans should have a man wreak havoc with the future of the club they own. I felt bad for Wrexham and Chester years ago and I don't want the Vale liquidated. Just relegated to non league for reasons of on field incompetence not off field financial turmoil which I'm sure most Crewe fans will also agree with.

Published accounts released today look decent enough... not a company in need of administration certainly!

I’ve got to be honest with you, I don’t think most people in the country are even aware of what is going on.
It has had very limited press nationally.
I live in Staffordshire and I only know due to this message board, yet Blackpool I felt I knew everything about.
You need to somehow raise the profile of the issue and I am sad to say ( coming from a man who supports a club with zero arrests) you need to protest like shit and get games abandoned and sit on the pitch on the centre circle and really ramp up sentiment nationally so this prick feels the squeeze.
Like others have said, standing outside the entrance with a placard and a flask of tea is achieving nothing.
You are probably going to go into admin anyway so you may as well create merry Hell.
And next time your chairman or owners want a mentor, don’t pick a rapist who asset strips - come down the a50 and sit down with our chairman on how to run a football club.

Oh and Coventry. I know everything about their plight. It’s on central news most nights and it seems to get much more exposure.
Why is that ? Your case is as desperate.
They are a big club but surely it’s not a sliding scale for press coverage versus the size of the club.

In fairness we’ve only really started protesting for six weeks as we’d just put up with the decline and had shown up until Christmas signs of progress from last season, the post Xmas nose dive after another shocking transfer window put the nail in the coffin.

The coverage has now started to go more national, oddly partly helped by Smurthwaite saying what he did last week! We currently have a couple of bidders and we can’t really afford to get games abandoned in the league position we are in. Points deductions for that would severely risk our EFL status! Had we been mid table then maybe that would be an option for the fans.

The accounts released today unaudited show a healthy balance sheet and a reduction in directors loans. Would be a disgrace to put the club into administration when according to that we made a million quid profit last year...

But again begs the question why we a good accounts but a poor side!

The accounts are utter bollocks.

Almost £2m has gone into the club, yet that fat parasite has only reduced the Director's Loan by £400k!? Unbelievable.

What happened to the profit? Haven’t seen it in the team!

These are before the Sunderland cup tv money and Checkatrade prize money too so should be healthy going forward.

Either way doesn’t paint a picture of a club needing to go into administration... just needs selling at a reasonable price.

Guy from Autonet has been tweeting hasn’t he hinting at backing the Synectics bid financially?

Would be nice, just to enjoy things like yesterday and not have that to worry about would be great. Hopefully something happens soon.

I think the point Smurf was trying to make on the radio is that we haven't had all of the Hugill money yet, but it still gets counted on the balance sheet as a debtor.

It's all very confusing because every time he opens his mouth any previous figures and dates etc are different. From what I gather the latest accounts show 935k in debtors which will be the 2x £400k Hugill installments, one would have been received in January 19 and the other I would imagine is to be received in Summer 19 or January 20 (£400k is due after more than 1 year)

Garlick reckons that the directors loan is around £2.2m now so that would make sense that Smurf has had the other £400k from this last January, although we wont see that until the account published next year.

The one thing I have no idea about is that Smurf has apparently emailed fans bragging about the loan reducing his tax burden (Capital gains) should he sell the club.

Long has he sells it I don’t think most fans will care about that!

Huge potential news! Carol is incredibly popular and a true community lady who follows us home and away...

Keeping VP together with the club would be huge!

I hope that it works out for you. Its great to have fans involved in the club, especially after the total toerag you have currently in 'charge'.

Does she or the company have any financial clout? Or will she be looking for investments?

They are based on the car park next to us just behind the main home stand and employ 350 people.

They are very successful and its a data company, she estimates her wealth to be equal to Smurf but they are aiming to make us sustainable (which accounts show can be done) but there was talk of potential backers Autonet coming in although thats fans reading between lines on twitter mainly.

Essentially I expect they will invest wisely in the club and essentially grow us back competitively. I expect Askey would be kept on and hopefully done in time that we can ensure key players who are out of contract are kept and they would invest in a striker or two rather than say Mansfield or Notts style spending.

Great news potentially. I hope its signed off soon, and Askey is given a longer contract to build us into a decent team ahead of next season. With the threat of a points deuction more or less removed, we can hopefully enjoy our football again for the last few games, and into next season.

This looks like very god news indeed but unfortunately the once in a generation windfall of £2m for a poor mans Bob Newton has already been wasted by Smurf.
Running a football club at this level is not easy but shouldn`t be as difficult as Smurf made it look and the Shanahans will have a lot of goodwill in the community.

Both the Supporters Club and Black and Gold have now suspended protests to allow smooth progress of the take over.
