Holroyd is not a goalscorer though and never has been. He has been a good solid player in his time though, Macc fans will tell you that too.

If we’re counting players who are only shit now because they are basically finished then I’m sure we could all name loads. I thought this was for strikers who are shit and always have been. Like Joe Quigley.

Holroyd's probably a better winger than a striker. Decent enough and a hard worker but never been one to bang them in regularly.

I liked Holroyd as a winger or supporting striker. But he's weak as piss. You only need to look at his hair to know that.

We had Nick Wright, who had a prolific spell at Kiddy but he came to us and you wondered how he even managed to tie his laces up.

From a footballing point of view, as thick as they came. Had absolutely no idea what he was doing and no football brain at all. A glorified sprinter.

Wouldn't call him prolific here. He was just a cult icon because of a 9 minute hattrick to turn a 2-0 loss into a 3-2 victory against Newport as seen here.

Weavers marquee and utterly off the shelf, don't have to think when the club's debt tab picks up the bill.......and anyway daddy won't sack me signing.

Totally shot as a player but on 120k a year apparently. His sum input so far.....15mins of action and a fluffed free kick.

Past it many years ago. As much structural integrity as a bag of cat sick.

Can’t believe he managed to get a club at this level. He must have a fucking good agent.

Haha, maybe we signed him up for a legends league. Walking football perhaps.

Lost Callum Howe to Moors as he went for the money apparently but yet paying him 10k a month.

If you fancy a flutter out a fiver on town to go down. Shambles of a summer.

Stead was last it when he joined us four seasons ago. He triggered an automatic extension 17/18 season and was a significant waste of resources last season.
Good honest pro, will work hard and do his best but at that kind of money he'll be disastrous .

Surely you've still got enough quality to do better than that?

Then again Mark Beck is a regular for you lot. And he is shocking.

Please, can we all just stop pretending anybody takes bankrolled shit like Harrogate seriously.
Thanks.:bdick:

How long before Mike Fondop-Talum ends up in here? He was useless against us on Monday.

Never seen anyone hit the woodwork as much as Chris Holroyd did in his brief spell here, if they went in then he might have actually got a decent run.

Incredible some of the guys Westley signed up for us, Aaron Brown & Luke Foster, fuck me.

Our three strikers (Mullings, Shields & Panyiotou) have scored 43 senior goals between them, in well over 300 appearances.

Looking forward to updating this thread with their progress as the season continues.

Hello all. Just popping in to let you know that all three of these players are terrible, with just one goal between them so far.

Connor Shields has also managed to miss two penalties. Super.

Well Holroyd took his tally to 4 with a brace of well take goals against Stockport on Saturday, apart from that he flitted in and out of the game but if he can keep scoring will excuse that.

He'll score more than any of ours this season. It's really depressing.

so will Jordan White which is depressing for you, Us any team he's played for...
Nah we've just played a team from the league where he's banging them in and I'd even fancy Chesterfield to top that league the quality is that poor.

It's like saying Michael Bakare will outscore any of ours playing in the Cymru Premier. It doesn't mean anything.

Can we formally remove Scott Quigley from this thread, given that he's the DEADLIEST striker in the division?

(Also, my own nomination Inih Effiong - he's somehow banged in seven!)

He should never have been near this anyway, he is good. It was just him playing in a relegation threatened Halifax side that has people thinking he's crap.

I notice Fondop has stopped scoring after his usual 6 games, it's all he ever does. Absolute clockwork. Will end up with more yellows than goals.

And incredibly Chris Holroyd is actually banging goals in, unbelievable. It's like all these players have looked at this thread.

might be worth you naming all Wrexham's current strikers in this thread then?

Bernard Mensah is worryingly close to being added here. Totally ineffective for Maidenhead so far.

Shamir Mullings didn't get the memo. He is the worst by a mile.

Nothing wrong with our strikers (well with the possible exception of Leighton Mcintosh) as players. It's our midfield and general play that is the problem.

I agree about Quigley. He's a good player, the only problem with him is that he's made out of glass. He was good when he was with us. Holroyd too (his issue is he's weak as water)

Three of them have been penalties though (and I think he’s missed one too).

He’s a half decent player but always seems to score in streaks.
