Shamir Mullings is genuinely one of the most useless and inept strikers I have ever seen, at least based on what I saw yesterday. I doubt he'd even be useful for a team at Step 3 level in all honesty, so how he's found himself at this level for so long I don't know.

Yesterday, Shamir Mullings and Mo Bettemer. Mullings missed his customary two sitters whilst Bettemer missed an open goal from a yard out. If those two plus Harry Pan score 10 goals between them all season I’ll buy the whole forum a pint.
even if that's a pint each and not a pint between us your money is pretty safe

Because he's big, gangly and looks like he'd cause teams a problem, in the Marvin Morgan mould (and he wasn't great either).

Then you realise he can't run, head, hold the ball up, pass or do anything remotely resembling a footballer. We fell for it last season but thankfully he only lasted 4-5 games. Taylor didn't fully learn though as he went out and bought Joe Quigley.....

Listening to the game, you two forwards did sound absolutely shit.
Mind this Santos bloke sounded worse.

Joe Quigley wins this hands down another miss from 3 yards. Thanks Peter Taylor.

How does he keep getting clubs, he had one good breakout season in the Welsh league and a good loan spell at Tranmere about 10 years ago, after that he's just been stinking the place down everywhere he goes.

Seemingly one of those players with a lot of friends and contacts within the game and a decent agent.

Did we all forget about legendary journeyman Jefferson Louis making the 46th move of his career?

Incredibly he and Trevor Benjamin are the same age, yet T-Ben retired 10 years back. Simply couldn't live with the standards set by J-Lo and bowed out presumably. This man's achievements may never be beaten.

Jefferson Louis is a peculiar one. He actually wasn't THAT bad when we signed him all those years ago from Thame United. He actually caused sides some problems and showed some initial promise in League Two for his awkward style matched with pace and power... Not for long, mind.

Looking at his Wikipedia page, it reveals that he is cousin of fellow journeyman legend Richard Pacquette!

Pacquette has made good strides in recent years including an incredible 5 club salvo in 2016 but his current 2 year stint at Harefield United is letting him down massively. He needs to be looking to add 2 more NEW clubs in the next year if he's to have a chance.

Any return to Hampton & Richmond Borough and it could be curtains for him, he's been there 3 times already.

mainly smaller clubs are just signing players who have played in this league hoping for immediate results

It's just a merry-go-round isn't it? Mullings, Jake Cassidy, Joe Quigley... they'll keep getting clubs at this level due to decent agents and then even after a bad run over several years, new managers at this level like Stock think the number of games they've had at this level makes them "experienced" and the merry-go-round just continues.

Oh dear, in all my years, I have witnessed every example of centre forward, but Shamir Mullings is the most useless and inept I have seen. And for a big guy, he is remarkably easy to knock off the ball. He must have a fantastic agent ,he’s had more clubs than Tiger Woods

I will be watching Mullins' future moves with a close eye, he's got Pacquette-level potential IMO. Only 26 years old too, lad has every chance.

RIP Weymuff, worst striker I’ve ever seen and that includes Quigley.

At one point we had Mullings & Quigley as our starting forward partnership :ffs:

We also had Cassidy that season.....its no surprise we finished rock bottom when that was the type of crap we had upfront.

Kwame Thomas has entered the chat.

How on earth did he score 3 goals in 10 games in LEAGUE ONE last season? Must have all been off his arse and he knew nothing about them, only explanation.

Could've told you guys that. He went from a failed loan spell with us to league 1. One of the most baffling moves.

Ponticelli looked good from his first start of the season, if Keates moves to 2 up front then Thomas could be a good target man for him and/or free up space for him to play in

im also wondering if we should mention Yussuf in this thread to be honest...

On what basis? I think that's a bit unfair given Yussuf was injured early in his first match. I don't think he did too badly when he came on last night, given the circumstances.

Thomas I agree with!

Bloody hell, he's only 23 and he's racked up 15 clubs! Jefferson Louis was only at his 5th at that age.
