Can't be happy for Higgins despite how well he's playing into his 40's - haven't routed for him since the match fixing scandal and don't like seeing him win despite the fact he was officially cleared.
Williams v Wilson final for me would be best outcome now.
Williams is playing really well, I never thought he'd be capable of this form again over long format. In the last 15 years since he last won it the best he's done is 1 semi-final.
Fucking nice one. I can't think of a single snooker player I wouldn't sooner win any tournament than that Scottish cnut, never mind the World Championship.
That was a fantastic match - delighted for Williams to pick up his third title. Easy to forget how sensational he was back in the day (for a shorter period) when you have Ronnie and Higgins of his era who have been at the top for so long.
Another big final Ronnie had won before the game started. I make that 3 ranking tournaments this season, 1 win, 1 runner-up and a semi. Plus 2 non-ranking wins. Amazing that he's still so dominant after 26 years as a pro.
Not fond of either of these players (although I appreciate their quality), but I'm quite enjoying Ronnie having his arse handed to him in a manner he dishes out on a regular basis. Still, if anyone can come back from this it's him.
If he does lose no doubt he'll threaten to retire or moan about there being too many tournaments or some other such bollocks like he normally does. Wish he'd just get on with it or fuck off myself.
Trump is a joy to watch. Ronnie not a the races so far... resumes at 7pm; could be a quick evening session but we all know Ronnie is capable of rattling off 3 or 4 frames in 30 minutes.
Ronnie 6-2 down after the first session has forced this to a final frame decider against Trump, 9-9 with one to play. I had a cheeky punt on Ronnie @ 5/2 after the first session.

So depressing to consistently see Jimmy White keep trying to make a Crucible return and always getting through this first qualifier to raise hopes.
Can't see it ever happening and you have to wonder how many more years he can keep pushing himself. Mentally it must have been a pretty tough last 10 years or so.
