Fed always used to beat him on indoor hard court even at the height of their rivalry to be fair. Fully expect Djokovic to round the year off doing the Paris/London double once again.

Yeah Djokovic will win both tournaments at a canter. Also thought Fed would have too much for arse picker and he did.

I like Goffin as a player he has some nice touches and is talented but he lacks the power and movement needed to become one of the top players in the men's game.

Five breaks of serve in a row in the second set between Djokovic and Simon. Should end here, surely Novak won't be broken three times in a row.

edit - or he will.

This is one of the strangest sets I've ever seen from Djokovic. 5-5, 8 breaks of serve.

make that 9 and Novak serving for the match.

Murray wins the first set on a tiebreaker 9-7 against Gasquet

Murray wins the match in 3 sets and will play either Ferrer or Isner in the semi finals.

Haven't been following the tennis at all this week. Hopefully Andy can get to the final and take it from there.

Ferrer it is in the semi which Murray will probably win and then lose to Djokovic.

So far Djokovic has been in the final of every event he has entered this year, apart from the pretty meaningless Qatar one right at the start of the year. Completely ridiculous consistency.

he's ruthless. I don't understand the guy, he's clearly unbeatable but every tournament I watch there's a match or two where I think 'hang on, he could be beaten here'. He's on another level to everyone at the moment, it's completely ridiculous.

glad Stan the Man beat Nadal. would love him to get to the final but let's be honest, no-one is beating Djokovic.

Andy is through to the final. If it's Djokovic he faces I hope he doesn't wreck himself trying to go all out to win the thing as his matches with Nole are always brutal.

Murray would have a shedload of titles this year if not for the Serbian machine.

Its turning into a real problem for the top players as to how to beat Djokovic now; do they go for their shots earlier and not get into rallies with him, but the error count could go up and put more pressure on their own serve; or should they just work on their own serve to try and ace or one-two him?

It's scary when he does that to Murray as if you take Djokovic out of the equation, Murray is the best rallier on tour. He then makes Murray look ordinary. He's just a consistent machine.

Murray is the more talented player but he just cannot get through him, it is incredible to watch such athleticism from Djokovic, I don't think we'll see the likes of this again.

Difficult one that. As much as Djokovic is a machine, it's not just athleticism. The level of control from his racket with the miles he covers on court is unbelievable really. I'd say that is ridiculous talent. I know what you're saying though. I think Murray has a greater shot selection and repertoire but when someone rarely misses and gets to everything, it's difficult to know how to beat him. I'll still say that Federer is the GOAT though. If Djokovic is still doing this when he's 33/34, I'll change my mind.

Aye you make good points on it Lee, he doesn't just run and get balls back in better than anyone, but the control with his racket in keeping the ball in play is astonishing and something he has worked and worked on and he must see the ball better than anyone on tour. He is a lovely player to watch in full flight either defending or attacking and is so consistent doing both; that has to take extraordinary control and talent to do.

I also think the way Djokovic is going he will become the GOAT in the next couple of years, and I can easily see him carrying on at this level or as near as, well into his mid-thirties.

Unlike other players there's not a part of Djokovic's game that ever breaks down. He's as close to a machine as I've seen.

ATP Finals draw has been revealed (in London till 2018)

Murray in with Stan Wawrinka, Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer so naturally a tough group and probably long matches which he won't want with the Davis Cup final week afterwards.

However if he is up for it think Murray will come through the group.

Djokovic will win against Federer in the final

Good draw really for Murray I feel. He has more chance of beating Wawrinka indoors than he does Federer. Nadal indoor on a hard court is also not a bad scenario. Ferrer will be tough but also beatable.

Murray never does well in this tournament but rather annoying this is his best chance at getting out of the group for a long while but it's fallen in the wrong year. I'm pretty sure it will be a Federer/Djokovic final unless Stan gatecrashes it.

Anyone going this year?

Murray will be very pleased with that group. Stan will give him problems but I see him beating Nadal and Ferrer and progressing through. But yes, nobody is beating Djokovic.
