Murray said he is hoping for a Djokovic drop off in form to have a chance in Oz next week. Good luck with that Andy!

So what do you think of the draw - probably cannot look past Djokovic of course but the ladies might be wide open due to the injuries..

This isn't going to be good.

There's only been eight different Grand Slam winners from 2005-15 and that report suggests at least two are allegedly implicated...

There are transparent rig jobs in Challenger/ITF matches on a weekly basis, more or less. Anyone who spends any period of time watching the odds and exchanges knows it. The idea that The Powers That Be could be unaware of it is not credible, but nothing is done. They do not want to pick up that rock and find out what is festering beneath.

Specific accusations against big name players in big time tournies is a new and rather more delicious development though.

As ever, start with the assumption that all big time professional sports are sewers of corruption presided over by blazer wearing kleptocrats with rhinophymatous snouts dipped deep into a trough of filthy lucre and you will rarely be disappointed. And make that assumption doubly sure if it's a sport that fancies itself as a bastion of class and gentility. Twats.

Would it be easy to fix a match?

You do seem some strange scores in a 3 set match for example.

Its often put down to a mental break down or lapse in concentration but sadly maybe that isn't always the case?

Edmund out in a 5 setter - bit disappointing for him?

Having a shocker in the fantasy game. I always find the Australian Open difficult to predict because of the intense game-affected heat and lack of real form patterns in the lead up to it.

Also, Nadal is out!

good couple of days for Chinese qualifiers. Wang Qiang beating 24th seed Sloane Stephens and Zhang Shuai knocking out 2nd seed Halep. Decent win for Konta against Venus too.

Is anyone surprised by Nadal going out early any more? You still wouldn't write him off completely but a "comeback" is looking more and more unlikely.

I've only lost one from the Women so far! Lost 4 men though including Anderson. Hewitt as a wild card was the bargain of the whole game.

Think I am doing my usual rubbish!

Good win for Konta against Venus.

Due to the number of seeds going out in the 1st round Serena could sleep walk into the quarters at least now.

As for Nadal - he probably won't compete for much apart from the French Open - if fit.

Well done to Johanna Konta. Really flourishing now she's added a bit of mental toughness. The same can't be said for Heather Watson who infuriates me with the amount of matches she's serving for and throws away.

Wonder how Konta will be taken by the mainstream public and press who can be varied in their opinions of a nationalised Brit?

Speaking of home players noticed Nasty Nick had a run in with the locals in his last match.

Not too many issues for the big names in the Mens so far..

Worrying news - hopefully just some sort of heat stroke rather than any very serious.

Konta through to face Makarova. Interesting one, Konta in the form of her life and Makarova is an excellent Slam performer.

Living Geckos is the big favourite really. The two extra men I have are likely to be out next round whilst he has 3 extra women who could well win a round or two more yet.

Djokovic given a good match by Simon and certainly not at his best.

Probably just one of those lapses in form even the best can have but maybe hope for Murray and co?

I'd say the opposite, less hope for them now. Djokovic seems to throw in one of these performances at every GS (presumably to try and fool people into thinking he is human) and when he does, if the opportunity isn't taken GAME OVER. Now he's got his mediocre performance out of the way, he'll go from strength to strength and brush everyone else aside.

He's an evil genius, he makes himself look beatable in earlier rounds to give people hope that maybe, just maybe, someone else might win something. Then he crushes your dreams like the monster he is.

That is right, he always has one dodgy match in a Slam where it looks like he should be put away by his opponent. Only Wawrinka stands a chance against him.
