Saw the Djokovic match till the middle of the third set then I got too pissed to enjoy it more! Went to five sets as well. If nothing else it would have took some energy out of him since Simon is just a grinder like Ferrer. Fascinating match to watch though as both struggled.

Djokovic made 100 unforced errors and he still won:ffs:

If he wins when he plays that bad, then good luck to anybody playing him when he's anywhere near his best.

As long as Djokovic is around I've lost interest in mens grand slam tennis because it's just gotten too boring and predictable at the top, right now Novak is seemingly impossible to beat even when he's having a bad performance he still finds a way to win.

I hate to say it but I'm more interested in the womens to see how Konta does and at least Womens tennis is not as predictable. Oh and of course I have to slate Heather Watson for going out in the first round the useless little posh girl who's got not fight in her as she's had everything done for her as a kid, probably.

Think you're missing the bigger picture Master D. Ok he's done well, beating a top four player and two-time grand slam winner, so kudos to him for that.

Of more importance though is the fact he's fucking my dream team up.

Great stuff from Jo Konta. What a 12 months she has had.

Puts women British players with supposed better potential like Heather Watson to shame.

Konta is what British womens tennis has been missing for decades!! A focused player with a top mental attitude, she is all about her tennis and not stupid stuff like social media and fake glamour parties that Watson and Robson are usually thinking about.

By the time Wimbledon comes around Konta will be one of ours!

Battle of the over achievers in the quarters then against Zhang.

Watched her this morning in between the Stan match and Andy match and she moves well, has good ground strokes particularly her back hand and seemingly relishes battles. Looks awkward on her serving mind but she does look to be a good player. Done fantastic to get this far hopefully she can go further too.

Pity Stan lost I fucking hate Raonic! And Tomic just doesn't learn does he.

Raonic is one of the most boring Tennis players ever IMO. I hope he gets beat by Monfils in the quarter finals.

He's Sampras mark 2 even in his demeanour and way he moves when he returns serve. He did return Wawrinka very impressively this morning tbf, but yeah I hope Monfils gubs him.

British representatives in quarter-finals of 4 out of 5 events in a grand slam. Good stuff. No idea when that last happened.

Stan tho  Gutted. Had pinned all my hopes on him repeating his Roland Garros heroics.

Sharapova continues to totally melt when facing Serena.

3 very one sided matches so far today.

Shame Fed is in Djok's half, would've fancied him making a third straight GS final if he wasn't. Seems weird that they're meeting in a semi-final. Always thought it was 1v4 and 2v3 (if the top seeds make it all the way). I guess those responsible for the draw are as bored of watching Djokovic beat Federer in a final as the rest of us.

Was going to watch Nole v Nishikori if it was on at the back of three through the night but at the back of eight I thought fuck that! Glad I did as it sounded an easy win which is a shame.

Ended up watching the first set and a bit of Fed v Berdych, what a boring match that was.

Oh well at least its Fed v Nole again in the semi, which way will it go this time?

Think Andy v Ferrer is on at the back of three in the morning, should get to see that at least.

Don't like Ferrer and not a fan of Raonic either so hoping it'll be Murray v Monfils to decide who gets the privilege of losing to Djokovic in the final. Though saying that, watching Novak destroy Ferrer or Raonic would probably be much more enjoyable.

Konta has a great chance to get into the semis. If she wants to be taken seriously as a Brit though, she should fold.

Mens doubles looking open, good chance for Jamie to win his first slam.

Konta into the semi finals. Just brilliant.

She has half a chance against Kerber as well.

Brilliant from Konta to reach the semi finals and also well done to Andy for making the semi finals too.

Hopefully Murray will be playing Monfils rather than Raonic.

What is the record for the amount of finals at a single slam without winning the thing? Murray likely to make this 5 must be there or there abouts.

Three into semi-finals. Even better stuff.

I make him level currently.

Andy Murray 4 (Aus Open - 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015)
Ken Rosewall 4 (Wimbledon - 1954, 1956, 1970, 1974)
Björn Borg 4 (US Open - 1976, 1978, 1980, 1981)

(Djokovic on the trail with 3 French Open finals and no win)

That was predictably gruelling fir Murray last night, it was tiring just watching it. Pity it wasn't Monfils he was playing. Gotta put up with that boring Canadian c***.

Well done Konta too she's done fantastic.

If the final ends up being Djokovic v Raonic, i think i'll give it a miss.

I do think it's unlikely to be honest. Murray is very good at beating players with a powerful serve and i think he will make it to the final.
I'd rather him play Federer than Iron Man though:gr:

Dunno what to do, whether to stay up and watch this latest Nole v Fed encounter from half 8 in the morning, or give it a miss and try to get up earlier! :D

Aye I know players with big service games are usually the most boring to watch in mens tennis like Raonic and Berdych etc and they have no personality either.

If it's Djokovic to get to the final which I'm pretty sure it will be then I'd be tempted to give it a miss even if he plays Murray as Djokovic will win as always in like 3 or 4 sets just like every other final he's played against Murray in Australia. :sl:

I used to like Djokovic, but ever since last year he's become an unbeatable dominant force in tennis that I can't stand.

I wouldn't bother, we all know what happens. Nole wins first set, Fed rallies and wins the second possibly on a tie-break, he continues to play well in the third but Djokovic pinches it. Novak then runs away with the 4th due to superior fitness.
