Gonna stay up for it. Heard a horrid rumour that we don't find out who got baseball batted until episode 3 though.

That wouldn't happen, surely?

Pretty sure they apologised for "angering" fans and not revealing who died in the series finale.

I hope it's not Glenn or Daryl, that is all.

Thought that was a great way to start the new series, incredibly grim, brutal, sadistic, bleak, whatever.

Negan is ace.

Jesus Christ that's the most brutal thing I've seen on TV, got a feeling Negan will be sticking around for a while. Maybe Rick will kill him at the end of the season.

That is by the far the best, emotional and most scariest episode so far on The Walking Dead.

I was nearly pissing my pants!

Negan is one hell of a villain and the guy who plays him was brilliant and so was Rick.

The biters have forgotten how to bite. They just want to grab your leg these days.

Wow. The second one (no one's going to be in here without watching the episode are they, considering what's to be expected) caught me completely be surprise.

Feared Craig's rumour was going to be true after the first 10 minutes, but that was incredible.

I'm not sure how I feel about the second one. I'm glad that they made his violent death grotesque and undignified as it truly would be, but the noises he was making made be involuntarily chuckle a little bit which pulled me right out of the moment.

I thought the acting was great but after watching it again I think the episode was directed poorly. All those switchings from one scene to another and the music being played over Negan talking at one point.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

There's no way he'll last too long. It's like Ramsay Bolton in Game of Thrones. You can't have that character without him getting a cathartically gruesome death before too long. He can't 'out evil' himself and there's no chance of anyone being sympathetic. Perhaps he'll meet the end that The Govenor met in the comics.

The 2nd batting did me right in.

I crumbled completely when he was trying to say something, but couldn't because of the obvious trauma.

I wanted to curl up in the foetal position, suck on a bottle of warm breast milk and have my mum sing me to sleep.

It's great for the show because it has been getting boring seeing Ricks group win all the time and escape death.

Negan sure is terrifying and is capable of killing whoever he wants, I can see him lasting a while. The whole of this season at least!

There's a hell of a lot of story to go with Negan if we go by the comics so I reckon he's sticking around for a while.

Saying that though, Andrea is meant to be alive and Carol and Morgan should he well dead so I wouldn't be surprised to see Negan die sometime soon.

Is it safe to assume that next week's episode is going to be a pile of crap focusing on Morgan/Carol for the whole epiosde and introducing us to CGI tiger man in true TWD fashion?

I think this would cause me more psychological trauma to be honest.

I thought they would of used something real instead like a big angry dog. But a cgi tiger? Well we shall see what it looks like first.

Negan is awesome. I couldn't stop smiling through that episode, it was brutal. I thought the style of the batting scene was very similar to the dealings with Tuco in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. We were wincing in anticipation.

It's great that Rick's group have finally met a group stronger than they are. Negan was being soft by letting any of them survive if you think back to what they did last season.

Great play with our mind, thought at one stage they all were gonna die.
The eye popping scene was truly brutal.

Mrs Spart was upset with Negan, she kinda like him in The Good Wife ...

Jeffrey Dean Morgan played out a very similar scene in the 2014 western The Salvation but with a gun rather than a baseball bat.

It was great to see they didn't bitch out in the end, as unpleasant as it was.

Now that they have crossed that line they will have to keep up the standards!

I find it funny how this show can be so brutal and gory with people getting their heads bashed in from a barbed wired baseball bat, yet they are never allowed to use the words fuck and c***.
