Yep. Thought I'd do everything. None of the sidequest stuff has been to difficult. I won the race at Remiem temple whilst getting 5 chests, that was a little tough. Not looking forward to attempting the lightning dodging again. Got into the 170s yesterday and fucking sneezed and got zapped. Bastard.

Never done everything before.

Oh, good luck with that then. Took me well over 150 hours to get everything done. The later Dark Aeons and Penance are a bitch and there's no way I'd wanna do all that shit again 13 years after doing it the first time!

Ha! Back on an old forum that was considered dishonourable/cheating. Do it properly or don't do it at all!

I'm just using game mechanics to beat them, just like when you 'cheat' in Blitzball. :smug:

Haha! Touché....

But then Blitzball is boring and not even a challenge. These guys most definitely are...

I'll probably fight them properly anyway. More fun.

Dunno which 1FF to tackle after X. Might go for 9. I can't be bothered doing them in order :p

talking of dark aeons, having never 100%'d the game before, the dark aeons got tough, but which is the hardest?

Dark Bahamut?

i've just realised on this disk, i've got final fantasy 12 and part 2 hd remastered, is this any good, i skipped 12 because i heard it had no free roaming and you had to stick to missions?

12 is excellent, just gets a bad rap for some reason.

Dark Bahamut is the most difficult Dark Aeon. Dark Magus Sisters are a cinch when you separate them.

Just finished The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and I'm slightly underwhelmed. Visually, a stunning game. I felt the storyline was very average in all though which really lets it down. There are some nice ideas in game but ultimately they become repetitive. I was expecting a little better overall unfortunately.

Dark Skies is a great little film. Now get back to finishing your 20 uncompleted games.

Marvel Heroes 2015. Free RPG on steam, only played as Thor, Cyclops & Black Panther (briefly) and still on mission 1, but so far I like it. Can see myself becoming addicted to this

just beat Seymour Natas, in Bevelle, probably the most frustrating battle so far, as stupidly i didn't have any Nulguard stuff or and character on nulguard abilities, half way through the battle though i remembered Reflect, and put it on all 3 characters, perfect

You do realise that Yuna should surely know all of the Nul moves, unless you for some reason skipped them on the sphere grid due to lack of Ability Spheres?

yeah for some reason i took the wrong path with YUna at the start and never got the nulguards, i've gone back and got them now using teleport spheres, been ages since i've played this, can't believe i forgot the right ability paths, not happy with the way i've taken Tidus either

Oops.

Though to be fair, I usually take Yuna through her normal path until you can swing off it a bit to get all of the black magic too starting from fira/watera etc, as for me she tends to end up with more magic than Lulu for me.

Completed Outlast

An interesting one. It's certainly very scary in terms of jump scares. It also builds an excellent atmosphere throughout and the story is complex at first but becomes more evident as the game wears on.

The negatives for me are in the game rinsing it's good bits to death. In the first hour, you truly don't feel safe wherever you go. However, after a while it becomes clear that you're only ever in any real danger when you spot places to hide. This loosens the tension somewhat. It's also a bit repetitive in missions. Throughout you have to collect 2/3 things to operate something. As soon as you see that, it's clear some monster will get in your way. After 2-3 times of this, it gets a little annoying.

However, these are small moans. I thought the game kept itself fresh with a new twist every now and then. The crazy doctor in particular was superb and the section without the camera became very tense.

All in all, an excellent horror. Definitely the best first person horror I've played. I don't think it quite scared me as much as playing the first Silent Hill all them years back did but considering I'm older and graphics are better these days, it went very close.

I played the 4th episode of Life is Strange earlier. Just one more to go that is released in September.

I have to say that if you have never played this game, seriously do. It is one of, if not, the best stories I think that has ever been told in a game. It pisses all over The Walking Dead and I love that series. If episodes 1 and 2 are 8/10 warm ups, episode 3 and 4 have been 10/10 without question.
