Yeah Inquisition is a bit over rated I reckon. It's fine, but the combat is absolutely shit. And so many damned side quests. There's a reason I've been playing it since Xmas and still haven't brought myself around to finishing it.

I was exactly the same regarding the first Dragon Age, I loved it so much that it dragged me through playing the second one and now half of this one. I had high hopes but just like the second one it felt like a chore to play, hence why I didn't have much of a problem stopping playing. I'll kick on with Shadow of Mordor then, cheers. Maybe I'll go back to Inquisition one day.

Sister's pretty much given me her wii to keep so am probably going to invest in a game or two from cex after work today. Anyone recommend Mario Galaxy? Big fan of 64 and particularly Sunshine, but I don't know much about that one. Yahtzee says it's like the bonus platforming sections in Sunshine. I can get right behind that if it's accurate.

Defo recommend Mario Galaxy, its very good. Likewise the second one.

Worth remembering too that you can play Gamecube games on a Wii as well.

Of the main Mario games I've played, I consider Galaxy to be the very best of them. In fact, it's the only one that I've actually gone and completed. Galaxy 2 is more of the same, but that is I no way a bad thing.

Also, it may be worth looking into Paper Mario on the Wii. Probably my favourite game released on the console.

I was enjoying Dragon Age: Inquisition until I did what I do with all long RPGs - play another game, finish it, come back to said RPG and not have a fucking clue what I've done so far or how to do anything because I've forgotten it all.

That's exactly the stage I was at having bought GTA V on Xbox One when I was midway through Inquisition. I've given Shadow of Mordor a good old bash today and already have one of the Warchiefs in place. Melee bosses are a little easy to beat, it's only slightly challenged me so far when they've been crossbow ones with loads of backup. Very good game so far though.

Defeated Echidna on mission 7. Started with Nero and Dante's game first so I can get used to the combat again. Vergil will probably be after that and then Lady and Trish.

I'd say that Shadow of Mordors biggest issue as a whole is that it was too easy. It had a great system where the enemies could rank up and stuff when they kill you... but if you don't die, it doesn't really do anything. As a matter of fact, I managed to die only twice while playing the full game, and the first time was just because literally the first thing I did when I started playing the game was run up to one of those big ass troll things and try taking that on.

WHY THE FUCK WAS IT SO CLOSE TO WHERE YOU START IF IT KICKS THAT MUCH ASS.

But besides that, I only died one time during the actual game, which is actually criminally easy. It was just some random no name orc as well. It was cool seeing him get promoted, but the fact that it was the only case of that happening throughout all the game was a shame.

Even when I'd find myself fighting a whole bunch of bosses and shit, it was easy enough to just run around like a twat and find herbs every time I started to get in danger. It may have taken a while to take down some groups, but it got done

It was a game that got easier as you went on too, by the end you kind of had too many powers and skill upgrades. I remember taking out warchiefs at the start was a challenge and then by the time you get to the second part of the map, they're really easy. I could go into battles with a warchief and two bodyguards and polish all 3 of them off on my own with little fuss. Boss fights were underwhelming too.

It should be made much more difficult when you find yourself in the midst of a massive group. As it is only one enemy attacks you at a time which makes it just as easy as it is fighting a couple at a time. Like I say, the crossbow ones make it slightly more difficult but you can just roll over everyone and head straight to them and pick them off. I do hope one of the people you put in power betrays you or this will probably be quite a predictable game, I half expected the first guy I made warchief to try and kill me but he just followed orders like a bitch.

Yeah it was a fun little game but as you say, very hard to die even when you had hordes of enemies after you.

Starting a horror game called Kraven Manor. Picked it up in a bundle a month or so back.

"
Turn out the lights, take a deep breath, and prepare yourself. Explore the depths of the immersive, atmospheric world of Kraven Manor. Uncover its secrets, solve its mystical puzzles, and face the growing threat within.

Kraven Manor challenges you to explore an expansive manor and discover the mysteries that lurk in its dark corners. You have the power to dynamically alter the layout of your environment by interacting with a miniature scale model of the manor, located in its extravagant entryway.

Dynamically build the manor around you. Find miniature room models and carry them back to an increasingly elaborate scale model of the manor. Adjusting the model causes rooms to move and appear in real space, awaiting your arrival.

Each new room exposes revelations into the troubling past of William Kraven. Face your fears and see if you have what it takes...the doors of Kraven Manor await you."

Finished Kraven Manor. Was alright. Atmosphere was probably the highlight, great sounds of rain lashing the manor and thunder echoing around the vacant halls. The bronze statue was unsettling at times and I actually jumped once or twice. Way too short though, about an hour long if you take your time as I did. 6/10.

Looks lovely, plays lovely, controls more intuitive than perhaps any other game I've played, stealth feels natural and consistent.

But fucking hell the story, handling of certain scenes and it's extremely short length. Really hoping none of that is an indicator of what's to come in PP...

Just finished up in Lucas' apartment, the chapter where you have to help his ex with the boxes. Story has gotten pretty interesting in the last 2-3 chapters.

New Vegas
Currently on the missing Ring-a-ding-ding. Done mostly side quests and dlc thus far but now feel it's the time to progress a little in the story.

I'd be up for that. Give me a message on Steam when you're about to give it a go.

Bought this last Wednesday. Haven't really played too much yet, just about to face the Chocobo Eater.

Devil May Cry 4 SE

Finished Vergil's game. He's broken I think, far too too much damage when his concentration meter is full.

Indigo Prophecy
Up to the chapter where Lucas is running around a military base in his youth. Some really annoying controls in this particular level.

Fallout New Vegas
Just had a talk with that Caesar bloke in the Legion's stronghold. Dunno where I'll take this platinum chip.

Finally completed Ducktales Remastered on Extreme, so moved onto carrying on with Uncharted. Somewhere in the middle of part 6 in the fortress.
