Started and finished Gone Home today. Short game but a fun experience for the two hours I played. Gameplay light so it might not be for everyone.

Been playing Witcher 3, and dying a lot. Not gonna lie, I'm struggling to enjoy combat when it's against more than like 2 enemies.
Other than that the games great.

I've finished episode 2 of Resident Evil Revelations 2. This was my favourite episode I think. I wasn't a big fan of co-op in Resident Evil 5 and 6, but it's pretty well done here. Some good ideas such as Natalia being able to spot certain enemies that Barry can't and Moira's ability to blind enemies with her flashlight. Hope there's some bigger bosses soon though. Only bosses I've fought thus far have been Pedro and that giant fireball throwing zombie...thing.

Really enjoying this game so far though. A big step up from Resident Evil 6.

After completing Uncharted 1 and 2 last summer, I started the 3rd just as The Evil Within came out and never got round to finishing it. I've started it again today and up to chapter 9. It's very good. Refusing to watch the trailer for number 4 until I've completed it.

Done. Another excellent game. Not quite on the levels of 2 which was a 10/10, but definitely a 9 or a 9.5. Uncharted 4 should be awesome.

Just started Infamous. Literally stuck about two minutes in. I've run to a alley/parking place with my fat friend and he wants me to blow up a car with my electrical powers as there's a gun underneath one of them. I can see the gun underneath the car. I've blown it up and it's landed back on top of the fun so I can't get it. I thought it was a glitch so resetted and tried again, yet the same thing happens. Confused.

Nice one Lee. What you've said is spot on too... Uncharted 3 is fantastic, but still doesn't live up to the brilliance of the second one. I forget, did you ever play TLOU? Because that's the next logical step... and a game that's certainly up there, maybe (probably?) better, than Uncharted 2.

As for myself, fucking hell, I'm buried beneath so many games right now.

On the plus side, I started another playthrough of Xcom recently after buying the Enemy Within DLC and finally finished that one off yesterday. So that's that done. By the way, I'm not entirely sure, but I seem to think that the only post-2000 games I've ever completed more than once are like MGS 1-4, Bioshock and like the Crash Bandicoot games. It is rare as fuck for me to give something a second play through, and even more unlikely that I'll actually go ahead and complete the bastard. Speaks volumes about how much I love that game...

But yeah, Far Cry 3 and DA: Inquisition. Got both of them for fucking Xmas and just not arsed to persevere with either of them. Though I'm still convincing myself that I will. But now I've got Batman coming too when that's out next week, so fucking hell it's going to be even worse.

And that's without even mentioning the like 8 games I've bought in the steam sale.

OAF'D sort of?

But wait, infamous as in the first one or as in the newer one? Because I've never played the newer one and I barely remember the first so doubt I could help out much anyway

I got TLOU on release day. It is probably the best game I've ever played to be honest. As much as I like Uncharted 2, it rules in an adventure capacity where features such as the gunplay still leave a little bit to be desire. In terms of an epic adventure and story it's great. TLOU is just immense gameplay and the story on an emotional level is insane. It's a bit harsh to compare the two but TLOU will win every time. Still, Uncharted for what it is is superb and that's down to Naughty Dog just being brilliant.

As for Infamous, we're talking about the very first one as it's a game series I want to try and get into. I've actually figured out what I was doing wrong now. I was simply zapping the car rather than performing some special move on them. Bodes well.

 Great start.

Man though, speaking of that series... now that I've ordered myself a PS4, I should probably get around to checking out second son.

Second Son is still probably my favourite PS4. That neon power is so fucking awesome.

Yeah I won't be playing Infamous again. Characters are irritating as fuck. Not that massive on the gameplay either.

Second Son was ok but it was a genuine early game on a new console type thing whereby it was solid and looked fantastic but aside from the visuals didn't really feel 'next-gen'. It's worth checking out though, at the very least it's a fun game with a decent story.

Tropico 4

A city sim builder where you take a tropical island and become it's dictator, building it up to complete different scenarios. The game includes many cool features, of which one of the best is the different groups of people such as capitalists, nationalists and religious groups where you have to do what they demand to gain their respect.

I built a pub next to a church, not sure how that'll go down with the religious groups. 11/10

I'm really enjoying Banished. My first two attempts ended up with my village dying off fairly quickly.

I think I've sorted it out now though and I've actually got some food surplus which is good.

7 Years in and it's coming along nicely.

Members of the 1FF PC Master Race seen the new AMD Fury X GPU? It's not quite out yet, but early indications are that this beast out-benches Titans and is half the price. I'll wait to see independent bench tests but I can very much see me putting my loyal old 6850 out to grass and getting one of these babies

Really enjoying my time with New Vegas and then I get hit with a lot of glitches and crashing. Can't even load my game now, just hangs at the title screen.

You playing it on a ps3? That version has a ton of problems. Anything over 30 hrs is pretty much unplayable.

I'm on PC. Luckily I've found a fix of sorts for the menu hanging. It's a fantastic game so I'm not trying to let the glitches and crashes affect me too much. Keeping a lot of manual saves to help combat some of this.

And since we're on the subject of New Vegas, I did some of the DLC last night (Honest Hearts). Really easy content, probably harder actually getting to the location than completing it. Found myself between a Viper Gang and Deathclaw. Quite glad I finished this DLC though, got some decent upgrades in the way of armor and weapons.

The NV DLC is a treat but HH is by far the weakest release, both in terms of difficulty and quality. Dead Money and Lonesome Road are better than either main campaign in NV or 3 and Old World Blues is extremely entertaining, mainly because of the dialogue. You've got a lot to look forward to.

Anybody else get Batman today then?

My word that game is pretty.

Also, "L1 to even the odds".

So fucking cool.

I've played it for a while and yeah it's fantastic so far. Just finished the ACE Chemicals bit where you first meet Scarecrow with the massive twist/spoiler at the end.

The batmobile's use is nothing like I expected, it's essentially just a new gadget, flying is a quicker way to get across the map so you don't use it for that, it's just a way to solve puzzle bits so far - which strangely I like because it's not overly contrived. Only problem is that the tank battles are going to be really repetitive, I can sense it - they're generally very easy too which doesn't help keep them particularly stimulating.

Story seems top notch though, really enjoying it and I've barely scratched the surface on the side missions.

Yeah, I can see the tank starting to get annoying/tiresome after a bit... and I've heard that the game is split into equal thirds of the awesome combat, awesome predator stuff and the batmobile, so that could be shit. But right now, I am actually really liking it.

Can anyone who's played through Dragon Age: Inquisition tell me if it's worth finishing? I got about half way through as soon as it came out and then couldn't play for a bit, I haven't gotten back into it since then as I've got no idea if the ending is worth bothering getting to know the game again. I have Shadow of Mordor to play as well which adds to the dilemma.

If ya can't be arsed just watch the ending on Youtube or something. I'll be honest, I adored the original Dragon Age and was really excited for this one, but I found most of it to be rather dull. A beautiful world full of tedious side quests, ugh.

Shadow of Mordor though, great game. Much more enjoyable than DA:I.
