I'm really enjoying Syndicate as well (got it for Christmas). Just started Sequence 5. It's the first AC I've played since the incredibly dull 3rd one featuring Connor in America. This feels much fresher with decent side quests as well. Plus the fact it's in London is a bonus.

Might actually make my top twenty games of all time. Absolutely adore this game and even prefer it to the first. Some really wacky and interesting characters and the story has kept me gripped after eleven hours of play.

Dying Light
Still really enjoying this. Mainly been doing side quests in my last few hours I've spent with the game. My one criticism thus far is that all the weapons I've found are quite dull. Just basic knifes and pipes. I'm hoping the loot I find gets more interesting the further I progress.

ARK: Survival Evolved - XB1

Pretty good game, me and 6/7 mates are on the same server playing together. Basically Minecraft with dinosaurs

Playing any one of;

Gauntlett - Free game on PS+ last month, good fun!
Rainbow Six Siege - Very tactical and a nice change of pace.
Battlefront - Gameplay is good, won over by the atmosphere.
Fifa 16 - Good days and bad days
Fallout 4 - Not convinced I buy into the story, there isn't any real direction.

Been playing Banished a fair bit. Sad to learn there won't be a follow up but the Colonial Charter mod has added a new dynamic to the game.

I got myself a Samsung Gear VR today and fuck me sideways does it get me excited about the future of VR and gaming. Basically, before using it all I ever read was that you can't really do it justice until you've checked it out yourself. And all I can do, boringly, is echo that sentiment.

It has drawbacks (the Gear VR, I'm sure others such as the Oculus Rift and what not will be even better experiences) such as a pretty low res picture for the most part and I keep on getting warnings about my phone overheating but it's still cool as fuck. I've only really looked at 360 photos/videos and played very few games thus far, but once this sort of shit starts getting used for bigger and better games and in even more creative ways it's going to be fucking awesome. DAT God damn potential.

Could it just be a gimmicky thing? I dunno. Hard to tell like a couple hours into using it. But it feels like it could transform gaming. And movie watching and such as well. I've often seen it described as the flat out coolest thing out there that you can spend money on right now, and it's damn hard to disagree. If you've got a Samsung phone (S6/edge/plus or whatever) I'd say it's worth the £80 to check this shit out. I mean, I wouldn't exactly recommend going out and getting the phone just to use it, but if you have one anyway? Yeah. DOO EEET.

Oh yeah, and speaking of those drawbacks I had earlier? Now to give it a rest for a bit while this headache passes by...

New episode of our pod is out- Link is in signature - Talk about it on the episode but been playing on the Wii U a shit load lately. Splatoon and Mario Kart the reason for that.

Finished AC Unity the other night and The Last Of Us last night (what a game that is!). Still got the DLC episode on TLOU to go through, then I'll either start Watch Dogs or Uncharted 3.

I wouldn't go to Watchdogs from The Last of us, The Last is one of the greatest stories at least and a very fine game, Watchdogs is a typical do this 1000 times Ubisoft open world fest, so won't be able to compete with coming from the last.

Fair enough, could do with more Nathan Drake anyway to cheer it up after the emotional toil of TLOU! :D

Uncharted 3 is excellent, just like the first two. I've not played many games recently, but i really enjoyed playing Uncharted.

Yeah was new to the series till I got the remastered collection when I got my PS4 but enjoyed it a lot as it reminded me of the early Tomb Raider games. The second one particularly had some great set pieces and was action packed throughout. Looking forward to the third one.

Definitely looking to get the Nathan Drake Collection soon. Never played them and feel that I'm missing something big.

If you like the Tomb Raider games then you will love Uncharted. Much more action in them.

- Up to chapter 17, can see a big difference between this and this first game in the Collection. Better graphics/textures, better gameplay mechanics. Really loving the series so far

Honestly, I wasn't that hyped for it either prior to checking it out. I thought of it as a little additional thing that'll be kind of cool for some games... sort of like use of 3D in movies. But now... man, I'm not sure. I've now had it for a fair old while and it's just so damned immersive. Put that thing on and headphones on and you're fuckin' gone. About the only problem right now is that it doesn't have any real big name AAA type games playable on it... but once the Rift is out with the likes of Half Life 2 playable, it could be something special. I can only imagine how great that could be...
