South West Trains ban bikes from trains (fold up bikes are allowed) on some routes during rush hour. Still does not stop some people trying to force their bike on the train.

Few months back, people were actually trapped on a SW train when there were three bikes (non folding) crammed into one doorway and about seven (not folding) in the bike space at the other end. It was chaos and the resulting - ahem - discussion used lots of words normally only found in Tarantino films.

I hate that I can't hate trains as much as you lot.

It is a common theme in this thread, along with cyclists.

Just use them more often. It won't take long to feel the same way.

I don't need to use them. They're expensive and inconvenient. Driving is easier and more comfortable.

Indeed it is. However, it's also not a viable option when you work inside the M25.

I really wish it was that long since I used a train. Hate the things and I spend half my life on them. Saying that, if I drove everywhere I'd probably get fed up with that as well as I'm a miserable bastard.

There's a lot to be said for living 5 minutes drive away from your job I reckon (me). I've to be there for 7pm tonight, I won't set off till 6.50pm. I bet it's shit spending hours a day commuting

Loose coalition of anti- austerity, anarchist, anti- state surveillance protesters under the umbrella of net- activists " anonymous" hence the masks.

Every DLR train has a member of staff on the train to drive it in case there is a computer problem which prevents them from running driverless.

Personally, I support the March. I also like the masks.

I don't like the minority that turn up and get violent and start breaking stuff.

Just serves to give the media a chance to put a negative spin on it.

My dad works for the DLR.

They have recently been taken over by a new private firm. As far as I am aware, the strike is more to do with broken promises such as fairness of shifts, holiday entitlement etc.

And has already been stated, every DLR train as a 'PSA' on board, there is also station staff. The system doesn't just run itself.

A bunch of middle class misfit kids who get the chance to throw a smoke bomb at a police man without chance of getting arrested (hence the mask). I work with a guy who likes them.....I fucking hate the c***, his idol is Russell Brand ffs. ( he's a qpr fan too).

I do too Dave, I just struggle with the structure ( or lack of) maybe I'm just getting old. It's gone over my head a bit tbh.

Channel 5 having an afternoon of Xmas films. They did the same back at the beginning of October, too!

Arriving on your own to a party/get together after everybody has been there for a few hours already. Hate it.
