I got one today in a mid-range Shanghai eatery. Had to send it back so they could finish cooking it. Take note JJH - I did not bin it.

Anyway, I don't imagine they're using very good meat for their burgers. Not summat you'd want to be eating rare, is it? Or is that just me?

Burgers are generally made from ground up mince, which can pretty much consist of anything that fell off the cow. Eating them rare is definitely not recommended.

Il serve burgers rare on request because I know what's in mine and il order medium if I'm eating out somewhere decent. Any doubt though and I have it grilled to death or just not order a burger.
