Sheffield Hallam has a big drive on bringing over Asian students to get more investment. My mum went to a meeting/conference thing on it once where they were talking about the uni growing thanks to Asian investment and hoe to encourage more Asian students to come over.

Is daft that they wouldn't have to sit an English test first though as Ian says.

I had to do a project a few months back with solely Chinese students. It lasted a couple of weeks and they were full days. On a few occasions they just told me I could go home as they could just crack on without having to explain everything to me so that was a plus.

Disagree. I think it shows visible solidarity with others. It's the individual equivalent of lighting major buildings red, white and blue.
