THE OTHER GUY. He was cool, I remember him posting this when you bought the UFO:

I think the demise of the UFO hit him hard and he possibly hasn’t been seen or heard from since. I blame Oaf personally, for making the UFO so shit. Oaf is meant to be an Independence Day fan as well, which means he is some kind of blood traitor in regards to the UFO. He confirmed to me in the thread that it didn’t include all the smaller ships and thousands of aliens. How can the ID UFO be just an empty ship? Who is driving it? It should have been like level 25 with cool abilities and all those smaller UFOs that reside within it. I bet if it had appeared in a Marvel comic book it would have been a strong character and not got beaten up by Rick Moranis etc.

ARGH. Can't actually find it on the web archive site thing. I thought it got moved into classics, but I don't see it...

Though I did have a quick flick through it's predecessor, Promotion Wars, instead. That game was fun. I forgot that each player got their own team for that... in fact, I actually intended to run TFF Wars the same way at first. Glad I didn't though... thought the team thing really added a lot to the game in the end.

The UFO was actually ok stats wise, it was just really unlucky in the fights it had and it had no ability. In 1FF Wars though all characters will have abilities... so it should be a bit better next time around, if people can bring themselves to sign it... I reckon it may be seen as a bit of a taboo character now though

We then got absolutely gash character choices, were never online together, and ultimately I think I spunked all our entire budget on that fucking UFO and were eliminated after about 20 minutes. Flight delays

I've been fortunate enough to have only ever experienced one flight delay, but that was only by about 20 minutes so it wasn't too bad.

Still, I have it where I once returned from a flight at about midnight and my bus from Gatwick to Heathrow bus station (where I needed to be for the bus back to Plymouth) wasn't until 7am in the morning... so 7 hours of waiting around at Gatwick... and then when we got to the bus station, our bus had some kind of fuck up so we couldn't get on it and had to wait for the next avaliable bus with spaces on it... which was about 4-5pm. So pretty much 17 hours or so of waiting around, and that's without even considering all of the sitting around on the plane/buses and shit.

I was supposed to catch a flight from Boston to Minneapolis on my way to San Diego. The wait in Minneapolis is only 43 mintues so It wasn't that bad. When I was checking my bag in the airline lady told me that there was a 30 minute delay to my flight and that I probably won't be able to catch my second flight, so I had to rebook my flight for the next day.
If anyone is flying in the US, I don't recommend flying Delta.
