Sky increasing their subscription fees.

Let me explain why they're doing this and what I'll get....

Because they're greedy bastards and NOTHING I don't already get.

Ring 'em, threaten to go to Virgin, get money off current deal, or at worst, get the same deal. Well known thing that they always fucking fall for. My Grandad is still paying Virgin the same money he paid them 8 years ago through doing this.

Amen. I'm sacking off the premium channels at the end of the season. Very rarely watch the movies and I don't watch the sport enough to make it worthwhile. It's far too expensive now.

I cancelled the sports channels when the NFL finished and got rid of the movie channels recently too due to hardly watching them. For what it costs it's just not worth it I don't think. I'm paying in the region of £60-70 a month for a package without sports or movies at the moment, plus the BT sport on top of that, though that'll be going when the NBA finishes. Might not bother getting the sports back in September as I usually do and just subscribe to the NFL site.

... you missed such a great chance for a "join the darkside" or a "you love it really... search your feelings... you know it to be true" or something there Salty. Very disappointed.

LOL yeah I used them the other day mate and wasn't wanting to overdo it :D

I'm cancelling Sky Sports after the CL Final this year it's getting too pricey and streams are getting better anyway. May take a year out watching sports and pursue other more worthy activities.

Streams are still a bit poo, but if one cannot afford sky, they're useful. Plus they have most every match on, not just the stupidly moved ones.

Is there any way you can get Sports without all the music/kids/discovery channel bullshit that comes with it?

I just removed movies and sport and they didn't even try to persuade me to keep it. Not even a penny off.

Maybe they're changing tack?

You can get Sports & Movies together at just £12.25 for 6 months atm if you don't already have em.

Those who aren't happy should just ring up and have a chat. Don't go in with the "it's a rip-off I wanna cancel" bollox, the person on the other end of the line will have heard it a million times before and will just switch off before transferring you to the cancellation department. It's a game, if you can get the person you're speaking with to like ya then you'll stand a better chance. As with most companies you'll speak to someone else before the retentions department. Make 'friends', you serve a purpose to them just as much as they serve a purpose to you. No excuse for people not getting themselves a better deal with anything they pay for. Especially when just having a good mannered chat is a piece of piss.

Alternatively you can cancel fully and hope that you'll be a needed statistic for a shareholders report. If so you could receive a call with a stupid offer, 75% is quite a regular one.

I heard it was like that with the Xbone, but thought the PS4 installed as you played to start with? I don't know as we spoke about last night, I don't have one of the new fangled consoles.

People who reverse park at supermarkets.

Stop it. It takes too long.

Bollocks they do, I do it all the time and am just as fast doing that as going in direct. Women drivers mind....

Supermarkets are the only place I don't reverse park as I want easy access to the boot. Reverse parking is generally easier and faster as far as I'm concerned so no idea what the issue is.

'Fancy a can of pop?'

'Fancy a can of fizzy drink?'

We're the ones that sound daft here?

Why would you say either? 'Fancy a drink' would suffice. Pop is something an 8 year old would say.

Edit: perhaps it's just me then!
