Not having anything to do with exams. This is the first year since 2002 that I haven't been taking exams or teaching people who are.

Camembert, garlic and good bread
I fucked up my knee a few weeks back and can't exercise much. Which means I'm currently doing the 5:2 diet in order to avoid becoming a blob. Don't think I've ever wanted to eat something as much as I want camembert, garlic and bread right now after reading that.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
You know it takes more than a couple of weeks to become blobby. Don't be such a fucking girl.

It's a long-term injury. I don't want to stop eating what I want or, probably more importantly, drinking beer. I'd definitely start piling it on.

What's the 5-2 diet? I also fucked up my knee and don't want to become a blob.

2 days per week you eat no more 600 calories. The other 5 days you eat and drink as you normally would.

Stick to it rigidly and you should lose about 1lb per week.

Sounds interesting, I just lost all of the weight that I gained after my first knee surgery before fucking it up again :ffs: So I guess I'll try out this diet. Thanks mate and I hope you feel better.

.

I argue with my obese housemate about this who stubbornly doesn't understand why he's not losing weight.

Eat and drink as you normally would still needs to be in moderation. No point creating a 2800 calorie deficit over those two days if you eat badly for the other 5.

1400 calories during the week and 600 calories on Saturday and Sunday would make you drop about 1.7lb a week.

Indeed. I believe some people call it the 'fast-feast' diet which is stupid because if you think you have a licence to feast 5 days out of 7 it isn't going to work.

Yeah when I'm dieting I just increase my exercise from nothing to something and eat ~1500 cals/day and I lose 2lbs a week no problem - mind you I have a fair bit of weight to lose, need to get back on it soon, hopefully next week.

Gillette Soccer Saturday

I still Sky+ it but its not what it was and they still go far too much over the top these days. The football itself is still dramatic though :)

Thommo does my fucking head in the way he shouts his commentary even though he's sat in a quiet studio, other than that I like it.

I mute that c***.

I tape it for the chat before the 3pm kickoffs and only watch those ingame parts when I know something dramatic has happened. Away to watch it later tonight when I get access to the telly! :D

I can't understand the logic of recording it and watching it. Bit weird that Salty.
I just like to see what they are saying on the current state of the teams and watch them later on Saturdays before MOTD which is also taped. Then I watch Sunday Supplement (unless I know they are going to rattle on about England) also - just part of my weekend football watching routine once all the live matches I fancy watching are over.

That's a lot of television.
Yeah I don't have a life tbh! :D

I am realising this though and have said I think I am giving football and sport a year off except for the major events. I hung up my game controller last year as well so hopefully I am making tracks into spending less time in front of a tv.

Receiving emails from your past self.

In 2009 I used a website called FutureMe to send emails to my future self. I got one today telling me (among other things) to check out 'thefootballforum', I guess I thought back then that by now I'd be past all of that. I was wrong...
