Surely the god the FA trophy is now a case of Extra time/pens if you draw the first game and not still going to a replay? Notice the final is played on the same day as the FA Vase now too.

I think it's up to the clubs to agree, but I'm not actually sure - we've lost every cup game we've played in about 4 years so I don't even try to learn the rules of it.

What even is the FA Trophy? Who can take part? Do we get to play in the Fa Vase yet?
If you're in the FA Vase, you're in serious trouble.

It is if both sides agree.

So Master D and B2TF, are we including Darlo, Chester and FC Tinpotfax in the Brotherhood? What about Hereford? Vote given to the members?

I feel it's in the wider public's interest to get a conclusive answer on this.
See my earlier post on this thread. This has nothing to do with Master D or anybody else. I founded this concept in 2010. I am the founder, the author, the chairman and the ONLY authority. Master D and Co have no authority or input. The rules are clear and are unchanged since the Brotherhood of Great and Historic Football League Clubs was incorporated. Membership comprises those clubs who were in the Football League in 1986, whether reformed, rebuilt, re-incorporated or not. Thus Herefore are, always have been and always will be a full member (there are no half members) of the Club, as are Halifax, Chester and Darlington. I am the sole authority, I make the rules, there are NO appeals. Can forumites please address any further queries in this matter directly to myself. Thanks. :bdick:

Surely both sides would though
When we got to the final we had
Worksop away
Newport home
Alfreton home, then away as we drew
Chasetown away, then home as we drew
Luton home and away as was semi
Darlo final.

What got me was that chasetown away was called off twice, but as it took priority over the league fixtures we couldn't play them either, and then had a replay, so the fixture consumed 3 "free slots" no wonder we ended up playing a week consisting over Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday it was a farce.

Clearly, Worksop and Alfreton would have wanted a replay if necessary as both are very close by, chasetown again financial reasons, but imagine having to go to Newport on a Tuesday night for the replay, I'd have just bloody thrown the thing and gave them a bye.

It's the entering the 4th qualifying round of the fa cup which got me, having to play and win a round just to enter the same round as a Morecambe or Yeovil. Shudders.

I admire your prejudice and infexibility.

I have my own Union of Teams of Superior Substance (U ToSS). Criteria include being succesful in surviving a re-election process (like Barra, 'Fax, 'Pools, etc) so I have to accept membership from such degenerates as Wukkintun :ffs:

By refining the criteria to ensure that I exclude "elections" I unfortunately have to exclude Cambridge United but it means I can keep out

A few this season went to replays still (Gatehead vs Orient?) and we wanted to go to ET and pens if needed against Boreham Wood(a) last season but they didn't agree.

Was going to put this in League Two but no point but looks like the whole of the managements and backroom staff have been sacked or resigned this morning.

This leaves us with nobody left in charge for the last 3 games so a couple of players are going to take the reigns.

We're going to be a right basket case next season. The board have thrown a club legend and absolute hero in Jack Lester well and truly under the bus. I respect hi for taking on the job initially when he was destined to fail but his love for the club probably clouded his judgement. He deserves to be as far away from this club as possible.

1866... we have a manager you're very welcome to.... and an owner... and a bunch of 'players' that could well be looking for new clubs next season. And if you're interested in a stand, I'm sure our lovely owner will offer you a discount on Bristow's Bench once he's 'had a chat' with the council in securing the freehold of Plainmoor. But you'll have to wait until he's been in touch with Lego to thrash out a deal for a 'state of the art' stadium.... that could be a while.

We're going to be a right basket case next season.

Then you are going to be in all sorts of trouble. This is a hard, hard division with teams who will run all day and shithouse your fancy-dan ex-League players.

Can't say I know anything about the conference, but one things for certain... we are far more likely to go and do a Stockport County as oppose to a Bristol Rovers...

Looking forward to it:2thumb::2thumb:

This league is brutal.

Are you likely to keep Kristian Dennis as he scored a shed load for us in this league.

He will be gone and good riddance if you ask me! He's not been interested since January, and has said more than once that he doesn't want to return to non league!

Always came across as arrogant to me, thinking he's bigger than the club because he's scored a load of tap ins and penalties! Fact is Denno, 3 years back you'd have been nowhere near our team:wave:

If you asked me though I'd say I want the majority of our squad out, I'd only keep 3 or 4

I am genuinely gutted though, I always liked Chesterfield.

Hopefully your board will bring someone in who sets you up organised and can recruit a decent striker.

Hopefully our board is out by the time the summer comes around! Heavily rumoured that a deal for new owners to take over is in the pipeline but I guess it's a case of wait and see!

B2TF's grouping is a thing of the past. I have formed a Trotskyist splinter group with a load of other Shaymen fans. We're called Former #Elite92 League Club Halifax (FELCH) and we spend most of our interminable meetings celebrating each other.

Chesterfield badly need a manager at this level with experience, they're one of the big fish down here and could worse than pinch someone from one of the smaller clubs down here.

Steve Watson of Gateshead is a good example of who I would look to appoint if I was them, but he may end up at Hartlepool should he choose to leave Gateshead due to the location.

As already said, I've learned this season and I believe our fans have to, that this league is so, so unforgiving. Players aren't tecnhincally as good, but they make up for it by simply being organised, hard to beat and taking zero risks in everything. The amount of teams we've played against who simply just launch the ball forward with one touch at the back into the channels to win a throw or set piece of any kind with a quick nippy player, and who simply just kick the ball into the stand every time they have to defend anything to slow the game down.

Sexy footbaal on the deck like
Reet Spireites, am here to tell yas wot to dee to be successful in the national league like. A knaa the league like the tip of me split ends so aal gis a breakdoon of how to gan canny at this level.

Gaffa

Me like, simples. Ya knaa me reputation in Wales so a cannit waste me time takkin aboot that. A wos managa of Pools and saved them from gannin pop. A left the club coz aad done me job, aad left the club in the best position it'd been for many year. We were playin sexy foota on the deck and a neva eva once played a youngsta. It's a man's game doon here like and ya cannit expose any gadge unda 27 year old to the rigaz of National League footbaal. If yas dee that, you'll end up from 19th to 24th place. A left with Pools gannin beltaz in 18th. A knaa what am deein.

Ave signed a pre contract at Wrecsam but if Spenca and Jonno shan me off like, gis a call, aam waitin.

Style of foota

Reet, aav got aal me coachin badgaz and yas need to look at simple factaz like jawline, eyelids and spleen functionality tests to determine where to pick playaz.

A played wingaz at full back, centa mids in at centa half. Gan one up top, isolate him as much as possible. Divvant get any support near him like, especially against mint sides like Guiseley. Me stats tell us that the best sides like Man City and TNS neva eva congest the penalty box. One up top sniffin oot the countless chancaz created from deep. The depth of the Atlantic Ocean is aboot what yous are lookin for here. Play a lot of possession foota in your own half, frustrate the supportaz. It inspires the players. 451 is me favoured formation, with a flat back 4 and 5 deep lying midfieldaz and one very advanced strika.

Media

Gan aal positive, every week, nee matta if yas are winnin or losin. Then suddenly gan aal negative. Divvant show your cards in press conferences, it's betta if they divvant knaa which Craig Harrison will turn up, like.. Get trained up in foota buzz words and cliche the fuck oot of aal interviews. The supportaz like to hear that. Whateva ya dee, neva eva eva blame yasel.

Transfers

Sign geet loads of playaz. Yas need a squad of at least 39. The trophy is a bastad. Get them signed up on 2 or 3 year deals, ignore aal injury records. Me UEFA A seminars told us that medicals are a load of aald wifey tales. Pools are dead lucky like, 80/90% of that squad are on at least 2 year contracts, they'll nail 17th next season which am dead chuffed aboot (me legacy keeps us gannin, momentum is on me side).

Man management and supportaz

If yas get jip off the puntaz turn roond and tell them 'am the one with aal the badgaz, not yee'. Repeat every week until they get more vitriolic then just head straight doon the tunnel particularly in away games, divvant even acknowledge the travellin supportaz that they exist. With the playaz, get them in every Sunday afta the match, win, lose or draw. There should be 10 hours of DVD material from aal the games and stats to look at. Divvant be strict with them eva. Neva eva eva. Be aal nice to them and they'll knaa the boondaries.

Anyway, hope this helps. Gis a text on here if yas need more tips

Don’t know how good a manager Steve Watson has been. Mid-table obscurity for a side with apparently a decent budget at this level.

The rumours are rife with regards the takeover and Paul Hart coming in as DoF. Reg Brealey is the man believed to be behind it. One google of his name has set some serious serious alarm bells ringing about what him and Dave Allen's intentions are for the football club.

I agree you doing a Bristol Rovers doesn't look very likely, but doing a Stockport is much more remote a possibility. Chesterfield are too big a club to be playing down there for long, can see them doing a Tranmere at worst.
