And they're both shit.
Elementary was top of my list :fing:

Brilliant storylines and characters, the most relatable Sherlock and Watson out of the many attempts.

To round off the shows that didn't make the Top 100, we have our 26 pointers.

Twin Peaks featured on two lists, and sat atop of one of them. Elsewhere Everybody Loves Raymond, and that God awful show Gogglebox were present on three lists.

The others were all on two lists.

26pts
Twin Peaks *
Everybody Loves Raymond
Gogglebox
A League of Their Own
The Blacklist
The Newsroom

Tune in tomorrow, when the Top 100 countdown begins!!!

Forgot the Newsroom but yeah, great series. The age difference between Will and Mack is criminal though.

Pretty sure the Newsroom and A League of their own we're both on my list. Surprised both aren't a lot higher.

I forgot to mention that Twin Peaks has dropped out of the Top 100 for the first time. Last time out it finished in 50th, with a slightly better 43rd place in 2011.

Just one of mine made the 100 :-( Then again, I grew up in the golden era of TV (1970's) before most of you were born. It would be interesting to learn if most of you have heard of most of my nominations. I'll post the list up tomorrow.

Robot Wars was great, probably the highlight of Jonathan Pearce's career.

I enjoyed The Newsroom. Sloan is like super hot. It still looks strange to see Jeff Daniels being serious after Dumb & Dumber.

I think The Blacklist, The Newsroom and Elementary were on my list, I was rather top heavy with Dramas for this.

100. Storage Hunters
Points: 27 | Lists: 2 | Number One's: 0 | 2013 Position: N/A | 2011 Position: N/A
Seasons: 5 | Episodes: 84

Storage Hunters is a reality show featuring a series of storage auctions. Made to look like a proper auction, what we really have is two or three sets of 'characters' who bid for the items within the storage locker. The others just look on, pretending to be interested.

The show has somehow managed to be more successful in the UK, after Dave picked up the rights to broadcast the three seasons. Due to this success, the show has recently been rebooted as a UK series, featuring the same host and some of the American bidders who have made guest appearances.

I forgot Storage Hunters - used to love that. Got a bit fed up of it in the end although, the auctioner was attempting some rapping shite when selling and it was coming across as a mumble.

Interesting show apart from that although.

Interesting. Although I considered 5 or 6 of those, none made my Top 20. My over 60's list from the mists of time was:
  1. Northern Exposure
  2. ?
  3. ?
  4. ?
  5. Tumbledown
  6. Boys from the Blackstuff
  7. Longmire
  8. ???
  9. ?
  10. Q
  11. The Young Ones
  12. The Tube
  13. Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin
  14. ??
  15. Callan
  16. ?
  17. The Singing Detective
  18. Old Grey Whistle Test
  19. Magic Roundabout
  20. The Kenny Everett TV Show
So that leaves me with 7 in the Top 100. I guess it's a bloke thing more than a generation thing that influences preferences - as my battles for the remote confirm.

Storage Wars is miles better than Storage Hunters.

Although the fact this has been chose has made me remember that I forgot Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, American Pickers and Shipping Wars, although only the first two would have made my list.

99. Eastenders
Points: 27 | Lists: 2 | Number One's: 0 | 2013 Position: 109th | 2011 Position: 173rd
Seasons: N/A | Episodes: 5089

Back in the 1980's, the BBC decided they needed something to compete with Coronation Street, and they came up with this bullshit. Set in the fictional London borough of Walford, the show follows the ridiculous lives of the residents on Albert Square.

Somehow this show regularly wins in the UK ratings, often beating Coronation Street as the nations most watched show.
