Table is of teams nominated by members for a top spot or relegation.

Some of the predictions were posted by members with their 'tongue in cheek' but all the same it does gives a fairly representative view.
I could work it out myself, but which teams don't then appear on either list? Us, Cambridge. Who else?

Fleetwood have done some really nice business for me and could be a surprise top 6 contender.
I agree they've done some good business so not expecting them to drop, will be interesting to see how Scott Brown does for them as he's a big unknown

Why are Burton widely tipped to go down. I would have thought they were a decent mid-table team.

For me I put them to go down purely as I just don’t think JFH is that good of a manager and by the time they’d be likely to make a change it may already end up being too late. Basically when there’s a few teams that are much of a muchness (which I will include ourselves in that) something like the manager is all it takes to make the difference.

I’ve predicted Cambridge to be in the bottom 4 on my predictions.

With regards to Burton, I don’t think they’ll go down but I don’t think they’ll go without a struggle. I just don’t rate JFH as a gaffer.

I agree with comments about Fleetwood also. Made some decent signings. Don’t think they’ll be pushing the top 6 but comfortable mid table I can see them. Definitely not in a relegation battle.

Standout business is obviously Sheffield Wednesday and I’d be shocked if they weren’t top 2.

Whereas at the bottom end I can’t see past Morecambe being bottom and FGR I’m fairly confident will drop after seeing their signings. Whilst I’ve not predicted Accrington to go down, they’ll certainly struggle. Only thing that keeps them up is John Coleman and the big clubs won’t fancy going to the Crown Ground on a cold, wet, windy winter afternoon/evening.

Without trawling through every post, who else has correctly predicted a top 6 finish for Exeter?Kudos to them, they know their stuff. I see we keep getting shorter with the bookies (Punters obviously know releasing quality players and filling your squad with a load of rubbish is worse than keeping those players) - Glad I put my money where my mouth is, I can already cash out for profit, lolz. Albeit only a few quid.

Shame about Pond looking like he's off to Rangers (From an Exeter perspective, anyway - can't wait until he's in the Rangers blue, me) - I did mention his quality and was recently laughed at...

It's annoying always being right (or hitting the goal posts as per last season)

Out of interest what makes you think we’ll go down?

Davis is a decent signing no?

Although that top 6 is a bit hopeful as I could see Peterborough and Wycombe in there somewhere. I have no idea about Derby or Barnsley.

Interesting sides for me this season are Accrington, Cheltenham and Cambridge for no other reason than last season they conceded 80, 74 and 80 respectively and I don't think that kind of defence is sustainable for that mid-table pack again because that's a serious amount of goals conceded. I'd be lying if I said I'm completely up to date with everyone's ins and outs, it seems to have been relatively quiet so far.
We (Cambridge) started last season with Taylor and Jones as our first choice CB pairing. Taylor was out for almost the whole season injured and Jones about half the season. We patched up best we could but used a couple of young loanees alongside our own youngster Okedina. Didn't work so ended up sticking LB Iredale in there for a couple of months. The goal difference wasn't helped by a few batterings at the likes of Wednesday, Wycombe and Sunderland.

Feels like we're far better off this year with four CBs who could all realistically be first choice. I think we'll concede less but we need to tbh!

My two penneth:

1. Wednesday
2. MK

POs - Ipswich, Plymouth, Pish, Wycombe

16th - Cambridge

Down - Burton, FGR, Fleetwood, Cheltenham

Out of interest what makes you think we’ll go down?
Nothing in particular but a lot of clubs suffer ‘second season syndrome’ and have a feeling it’s gonna happen to Cambridge. If you do keep Sam Smith, I don’t think he’ll have as good a season as last also. Quite like Cambridge as a club, nice bunch of fans. Hope I’m wrong about you!
Davis is a decent signing no?
Like I’ve said before, he’s not shit but he’s not good either. Wouldn’t class him as a ‘decent signing’ at League 1 level. Thought he’d have gone down a division in all honesty. Looking at your starting fixtures, I think you’ll be down the bottom early doors and will struggle to recover. Likewise with Cambridge, nothing against your club so don’t take it personally. I’m shite at predictions anyway!

I took info just from the lists supplied.
Didn't bother with the attached blurb, which might slightly change positions. In other words the table is not 100% perfect but close enough to be reasonable accurate.
BTW your post today at 8.40am did not offer Lincoln on either list. I think that they will be closer to top six than relegation although perhaps not in an auto-promotion spot.
Sorry, I was just saying where I thought we'd finish rather than for your table.

No way we'll be closer to the Top 6 than relegation - I admire your optimism, though!

I take what that little fat nonce says with a pinch of salt, though looking at Gabriel he should cut down his salt intake.

I think that Gabe is by some way the most expert voice on League 1 and his opinion should be treated with reverence and being akin to absolute fact. Unlike those clowns at D3D4 who don't know their arses from their elbows :bl::bl:

BTW, who did he have winning the division? :fish:

I always get the impression he has an awfully high opinion of himself - acts like he's an oracle, but then says a lot without actually saying anything of any substance.

I could be very wrong though.

I think there’s a few very random ones on that Gabe Sutton one. I think FGR is a bit of a stretch in 12th quite honestly. They lost a lot of their better players and are they going to be as fortunate with injuries again as their squad depth even last season was limited? Think he’s underselling Oxford massively too.

Based on the information we have right now I can’t say he’s wrong on us until we strengthen the squad.

Betvictor's forecasts are either visionary, eccentric or purely delusional: which will become clear in the coming months.

Completely crazy if you ask me today, but I am surely less well-informed than their author....

With todays signing of Jamal & Kegs it's hard to take anyone seriously that doesn't put us top 6. Top 2 is close to inevitable now, instead of my previous assessment of 'likely'
