Plenty of predictions putting Fleetwood in bottom 4. The ( potential ) quality in this league is huge. Seriously big clubs Owls/Pompey/Ipswich/Derby/Barnsley/ Bolton/Charlton, half of these clubs could accommodate the entire population of Fleetwood, big budgets enabling these clubs to bolster and build substantial squads which many league 1 clubs cannot hope to compete with
That being the case thank God we have the bread and butter of football, smallish clubs who bring enormous pride to their towns and communities
Fleetwood to finish 19th !!

We don't all have your resources. Of course we can fill the bench, the point is whether we would want to bring on a 17 year old with no experience to get battered.
bit of a contradiction.....one of your educated posters said you had a team that would be in the top 2 and you have a team of academy players who are good enough for the championship.
Got me scratching my head because i believed him

I agree they've done some good business so not expecting them to drop, will be interesting to see how Scott Brown does for them as he's a big unknown
Bit late replying, quite agree with your comments, I think Scott Brown is at the beginning of a successful managerial career. Quite likely he will eventually finish up at Parkhead, ,2 yr contract with us and expect him to then move on to a championship club. Pilley has a track record of bringing through young unproven managers who buy and large do pretty well

If you don't believe me now you'll believe me by Christmas. Looking at current 11s from around the league it's hard to see anyone with a better starting line up than us, potentially weak in depth at the mo, but easily the best starting 11 on paper. If we can get 1 or 2 more signings across the line this week, mainly a striker, we'll have this league sown up by March.

It’s going to need to be a bloody good striker. Are you in for Ronaldo?

Why would we want Ronaldo? We've got Sam Nombe, much better. We just need a striker to sit on the bench for if/when he gets injured. I suppose Ronaldo could be a good choice but not entirely sure he'd be happy to be sat on the bench.

He must have massively improved in the last two years then. He only had about one good month in his entire time with us

Nombe is 100/1 to be League 1 top scorer. Worth a grand of anyone’s money surely?

I'd say it's risky putting your eggs in the basket of a player who's never played even half the games in a single season yet. Even our own George Lloyd has scored more Football League goals than him.

You couldn’t beat us when we had one staff member and our centre back as a manager. That’s right there in the history books.
got socks with more history than the franchise

Na, simply because he probably will only feature for half to 2/3s of the season.

Then again, that might be all he needs to be top scorer, so yes, in writing this I've convinced myself. £25.00 will put on it and come May I'll chuck you a vegan sausage roll for making me aware of those quite frankly ridiculously generous odds.

Probably the best bit of business we've done in the transfer market in my time watching City (Granted, it's only about 18 years) in signing him up. Utterly incredible. What a man, what a player.

I'd be amazed if we finished in the bottom 4. We won't trouble the top 10 but we've got a good enough squad to avoid relegation comfortably, particularly with 3 or 4 more to come in. Couple of seasons of consolidation and then push on hopefully.

Wednesday have recruited well and will take some beating, I’ve missed derby out purely because I haven’t a clue on them, could romp it or simply fail, Ipswich will fail again I reckon.

Sorry Simon your a good egg on here but I think losing duff will be a too big of a loss, burton and morecambe recruitment doesn’t look the best and vale are in their because I couldn’t think of anyone else!!

As for ourselves I think a lot will depend on whether we can keep hold of bonner, he goes then so do we but if he stays I think we’ll be top 10, providing we don’t sell anyone.

The Port Vale predictions being in bottom 4 are truly bizarre.

The Cheltenham poster above is clearly under the influence of some hard hitting drugs.

No Cheltenham in the bottom 4? They'll 100% be dropping down, but I get your bias being a supporter. But no Derby or Sheffield Wednesday in the top 6 is mental, as is your prediction Pl*mouth will be anywhere near the top 6. Rovers will be top half, and we're nailed on a top 2 spot now we've secured Jamal with a striker comining in imminently.

same drugs as last year. I could never be 100% like yourself but we never even flirted with relegation last year and I expect more of the same. You clearly don't know this league, but why would you?

League Two play off winners are nearly always pre season fav's to go down.

I dont think we will and dont think we will be in a relegation battle, nor trouble the top half.

Our core squad is virtually intact from last season, key players who were injured such as Conlon are back and we are being patient in the window to get the right players in, the Stoke lad is a good signing and Ojo looks decent.

Whilst we may not have the best squad or biggest budget I do believe we have one of the best managers so should have enough to steer clear of danger.

For once we come into League One with a clear progressive vision and investment rather than a basket case!
