Nothing wrong with feet...

Top Gear needed an overhaul anyway, perhaps this is a blessing for the program. I'm sure Clarkson et al will plug it to Sky or some other networks, as it still makes a tonne of money and the demand is still there for it. I just hope they use this break in the show to refresh it when it gets aired on one of those networks.

I don't really care much about the issue, although if you punch someone you should absolutely sacked. The reaction of Clarksonites has been fantastic though, some of the ridiculously melodramatic crap that the scared middle aged men (or young men who act like middle aged men) have come out with has been superb in its stupidity.

for me its best if it just ended completely, what we'll end up with is some top Gear replacement on BBc which will be poorer and also a new program with the 3 presenters which will also be poorer because it'll need the producers and the presenters, not them split up.

but as said before its run its course anyway isn't anything i'd really like to re-watch from the last few years.

Bloke on the radio was saying last night that it's impossible to put Top Gear on a commerical channel, because such a large chunk of the advert revenue comes from car companies. I'd never thought of that, but stands to reason, I guess. Who wants to advertise a car that is probably going to be slagged off during the course of a series?

BBC confirm that Top Gear will continue with a new presenter. Will be interesting to see if May and Hammond stay on.

I do think they'd be better off getting rid of Top Gear and replacing it with a new motoring show. What there real challenge will be is giving new new Top Gear it's own sense of identity, if they just try to keep it the same with a different face then it will fail.
