A mix of both Steven mate. Can play either wing mate and is comfortable going wide or cutting inside mate. Next big, big thing imo and that mate, makes Comley Kingsman look like a right shitter mate.

Yeah, he can do the lot really Steve, but his crossing from the right is excellent.
Find a vid of Aubameyangs goals last season and see how many of them come from Dembele putting the ball in the perfect place. He's top drawer.

:brill:, mates :D

Dembele.....oui (yes, ja). 30 scorer points in his first season (9 goals, 21 assists). Would hate to see him leaving Borussia but Barca has now money to spend. And he already mentioned it a few months ago that it is his "big dream" to play in the future at Barca. So if Barca makes an "unmoral offer" Borussia can't deny it because I think Dembele wouldn't be pleased if he has to stay (unlike Robert Lewandowski in his last season at Dortmund who acted very professional when Borussia refused the Bayern offer and he had to fulfill his contract)

Yes mate. Hoping Barca buy Dybala or Coutinho instead. I like Dembele and would hate to see him playing for them. Having said that, he did do the "I'm happy at Dortmund and want to win titles with them" interview a week or so ago, so he's nailed on to leave this summer. Mate.

:D. Yeah, these "I'm happy at xyz..." statements are normally null and void if a "big gun" like Real or Barca shows interest.

Anyway, I like this guy (although I hated him too for scoring the 1-5 at Hamburg on 5th November, Only a few minutes in and already scored. It was Uwe Seeler's 80th birthday (he was at the stadium (like me) and had deserved a better birthday present ;). Sacrilege (but great performance nonetheless from Borussia)

Not a rumour, just me making the observation that Drinkwater didn't feature in our squad for the friendly v Burton and he's not in the squad tonight for Monchengladbach. Chelsea bound then?

Stocky posted the rumour, I'm not sure where he got it from.
I'm as calm on the situation as the Buddha. If FSG take the money that's a different matter. He's staying around to get player of the year. ;)

Well you only have Luiz, Ridiger, Cahill and Christensen as actual centrebacks don't you? Even with Azp that's 5 guys for a back 3 and every club wants 2 guys for each position so if you plonk Azp with Moses at right wingback, then that's only Christensen left to cover your back 3 for injuries/suspensions/champions leeeeeeeeeeeague.
Not really a shocker. I'm surprised Chelsea haven't done more this window.

Well, Azp has to be counted as an actual CB as it's where he played pretty much the whole of last season! Personally, I reckon 5 offers adequate cover for 3 positions (I agree it would make sense if we want to use Azp at RWB, but he's kinda unproven there and wouldn't offer us the attacking threat that Moses currently does). But basically, we look positively blessed at CB in comparison to other positions. Here's our 1st team squad right now (according to our official website):

Goalkeepers

Defenders
Midfielders
Strikers
That's 21 players. 21. 18 of them outfield. Costa's off, I'd be amazed if Musonda and Kenedy are regarded as viable options so realistically that's 15 outfield players covering 10 positions. 5 CBs for 3 positions, 2 WBs for 2 positions, 3 CMs for 2 positions, 3 AMs for 2 positions, 2 strikers for 1 position. I only hope the board are actively trying to sign players because if they expect Conte to adequately compete on four fronts with this squad we'll likely be in for a repeat of the 15/16 season.

Hoping Baker is just missing because whoevers running the site isn't being given info on who to include.

He's probably off (hopefully only if we get a replacement first) but there's Remy too not there

Chelsea attempting to do what they did with Salah by the looks of it, and they need VDV just as much. I suspect that would be on his mind when looking at the potential move.

Being reported that Chelsea will make a move for Drinkwater soon and that they wanted to take him last season with Kante but we weren't willing to sell both with DD not having a release clause like Kante did.
I'd take 40mill for him, he's not worth that but he's replacing Matic and Chelsea get a proven partnership in the middle.

Mario Lemina set for a medical with us tomorrow according to reports in Italy. 18 million euros.

I guess that means we've sold VvD, fingers crossed its to Chelsea. :animatedf:

Lemina is a midfielder. Not really gonna replace VvD.
Or are you just saying the fact you're buying must mean you're selling?

95m Euro suggested for Coutinho, what's that about 87m pounds.

Barca are absolutely having Liverpool's pants down here if that's all they're getting. Moronic decision from Liverpool's board to let him go so cheaply given how much money they know Barca have burning a hole in their pockets.

I doubt it's true. Liverpool don't need the money and it wouldn't make sense to sell their best player a week before the season's about to start. Coutinho doesn't seem the type to kick up a fuss and he'd want to have a good season wherever he's playing what with it being a World Cup year.

ITK on SaintsWeb hinting that VvD will be involved in an u23 match next week.

Not sure if that's a good thing...

Look at the difference in squad sizes for the game today. That's with you padding yours out a bit, too...

Conte/the board need to get to work and quick.

Conte and Chelsea after Danny Drinkwater. Seems a little random, obviously he had such a good season before last, but will he make an impact on that squad?

Look at the squad list, you'd make an impact yourself when injuries hit around christmas time.

With Lallana ruled out until at least October we're basically starting this season having stood still in terms of players and quality. And if Coutinho ends up at Barcelona, we will have taken a big step backwards despite having far more fixtures this coming season. Fucking inexcusable from Klopp and the owners.
