Versatility. Gundogan is a better attacker of course he is, but Can can do that too, and if you need him to break up play he'll do that also, something Gundogan isn't great at. PErhaps they will bring in Fred - I hope they do, as I don't want to see Can head to City.

The reason I'm worried though is that he has been free to speak to other clubs on the continent with his contract running down, but not English clubs til the summer. With nothing sorted out with Juve/Bayern etc, it does look like he's leaving the door very open on a move to an English side and we'd be able to do nothing to stop it from happening. I do think in the end he'll go to Europe as I think it suits his game more, but this uncertainty is annoying.
