They are reportedly after van Persie too.

Middlesborough were enough of a bogey side the last time they were in the league. It'll be worse with a few players that'd love to stick it to us.

They'd prefer to stick it to LVG, I think.

where he consistently made an arse of himself

All part of the fun and games that go with being at one of the Clasico sides. :D

Up there as one of the best keepers around when he was at his peak. Shame his time there ended as it did.

I never considered him as being that good in his peak. He was always the weak link of that great Barca side.

Would it really be a good signing for Middlesbrough too? He's 34 and was just in and out of Standard Liege's side in a loan spell.

He did have some iffy games at times as all keepers do, but he was generally excellent and got them out of trouble in big matches on many occasions.

he was a bit of a running joke for a long while, then eventually had a few years where he improved a lot and was a really good keeper tbf, though never one of the elite. always been an utter wally though. his hilarious "hard man" act, the petulant childish reaction to his deserved sending off vs real madrid, running the length of the pitch to berate officials when someone sneezed near busquets etc. a proper queefbiscuit.

Lord of transfer news, Di Marzio, has stated United have agreed a deal with Pogba himself for £11m a year and are working on a fee with Juventus for around £102m.

Time for Madrid to swoop in and put us in our place.

Jose's best mate Mino Raiola has convinced him that working under Mourinho is the best thing for him at this stage of his career and would take him to another level.

Still can't see it happening but who am I to ignore ITK's like Di Marzio and G-Dragon.

If we sign Pogba (G-Dragon promised me we will but I still don't believe him) I will pull my penis off.

You better get it done before Real sell Morata, cos then they'll be able to spend a bit. They cant afford 100mill atm.

Yeah, Real are the only realistic challengers to this deal (assuming Pogba doesn't sign a new contract with Juve) so the last thing we need to do is give them time to build up the required funds. Mourinho said something about not waiting until the last minute to get our business done so, if we are seriously in for Pogba, we need to get it done ASAP.

We've apparently bid £15m (Eek! :bl:) for Jordan Ibe. A promising player but we'd be paying for the fatc he's English there.

No idea if it's true but the Matt Ritchie money does seem to be burning a hole in our pocket.

Eddie loves a small, technical winger but we badly need a couple of centre halves and midfielders.

Yes was just going to post about our Ibe bid. Is that all 15m gets you now, young quick potential? Guess there's an English premium also.

We're going with a unique 2-2-4-2 formation next season, to give all our attacking midfielders time on the pitch.

Good deal for Liverpool as he hasn't progressed as we thought he would. Maybe a change of club will bring him on though.

Suddenly £10m for Redmond doesn't seem that bad.

Di Marzio is a fraud. Disgrace to true ITKs like me!

Bold move from Bournemouth in spending 15 million on Ibe. - a good prospect but still pretty steep.

But then he is young and English so valued high.

15m accepted for Ibe it seems.

I'd say theres little to choose between Remond and Ibe Jamie_SFC, both done better in the Championship than they have in the PL in recent years, both young wingers with talent but inconsistent, both far from proven at PL level, so both a gamble.

5m difference between the two, a few mil net above Ritchie, unfortunately everyone knows we just sold said winger for over 10m and have money to spend.

I'm just a bit annoyed that we're signing a player, indeed breaking a record fee, for a position we're already stocked in. I've little doubt Howe will get Ibe playing very well, but I'd rather Howe went after a defender or two first. Then if there's was any change, perhaps then look at another attacker.

We can have all the attacking talent in the world, but unless our defence is improved and we can occasionally keep a clean sheet, the attack won't work to its potential.

£15m for Ibe is nothing - considering every Liverpool fan on the forum told us all that he was "much, much better" than Raheem Sterling three seconds after Sterling's move to Manchester City was confirmed.
