This sudden emergence of football in China (Well since the winter window) is fantastic.

Not surprising really, a population of 1.5 billion people and no completion from any other mass spectator sports.
If they put the effort into developing the grass roots, then watch out for them in 10-15 yrs time.

This.

I'm almost sort of a bit worried.

That'll go in Oyston's pocket.

He's 31, so not really.

He's 30 for 6 more days!

31 really isn't that old anyway - I see China in terms of the MLS or the Qatari leagues, something you contemplate to wind down your career in your mid to late thirties.

Nobody really knows how long this China thing will last though, so it's best to get in now if you're gonna go. Maybe it'll just keep getting more and more ridiculous or maybe it'll die out a bit like the Russian league investment did. It's also a good time because as more and more players go over there, eventually the wages will level out and they'll probably stick to only real marquee signings, which Pelle isn't really.
Pelle probably doesn't see much future for himself in the Italian side and no disrespect to Saints but it's not like going to another league is hindering his chances of winning stuff.

Tbh I'm surprised they're not going for players like Nasri.

Fair points JJ, fair points.

Even the Qataris and the Chinese think Nasri is too much of a mercenary, by the way.

Apparently we're signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Bayern Munich for £12m.

Not sure who he is, where's that German fella?

Apparently unhappy Clyne was "offered" to Barcelona, but they rejected the chance to sign him.

Seems like Icardi might be coming to PL. He would be a great addition to any team.

Icardi’s wife and agent, Wanda Nara, told Calciomercato.com: “From what I can see, Inter have put Icardi up for sale.

“There are many clubs interested. We will evaluate the situation with all due respect for everyone.

“Mauro would be very sad to leave Inter, but we’ve understood the club’s economic situation and evidently they cannot hold Icardi back.

“There is no release clause in his contract and we hope Inter won’t ask for a sum that is outside the market value, but rather suited to his contract.”

This would be a superb signing. Huge potential.

Real Madrid are apparently out of the race to sign Pogba due to United's "superior financial strength."

If true this must be the first time they've been priced out of a deal? I'm sure the Spanish government will end up helping them out.

Guillem Balague has been tweeting some real salty stuff as of late too (@United fans) in regards to the Pogba transfer. Still wouldn't hold my breath, but a move to United seems increasingly likely by the day.

Think he's pissed at United fans on twitter because they keep reminding him how wrong he's been on United lately (claimed van Gaal would be staying and De Gea would be going).
