His performance against us at St. James' this season was one of the most lackluster and pedestrian I can remember. Had to double check that he was the same player because the one I saw no way deserved to be near any Euro squad.

I don't think anyone covered themselves in glory that day barring Perez if memory serves me correctly (he scored basically). He's clearly better than our current position but 1) he's one of the main culprits as to why we find ourselves there in the first place and 2) he's only slightly better - lower PL or a complete squad/cup player for one of the bigger PL clubs. If you can afford the luxury of having him he'd be fine.

We're on for Ibe, to be completed this week perhaps even tomorrow.
This follows Ibe having a look around our setup on Friday and then taking a few days to think it over.

Bournemouth will hold the most expensive non capped English player in history. Bournemouth.
*Haven't fact checked the stat, just what I've read.

Wycombe will receive a windfall from the deal as part of their sellon, of about 2m. So Liverpool are getting just shy of 13m,

Only today like, but we'd just been linked with an 11th hour bid/interest in him too but nothing more than slight rumours. Don;t think he would have came to us on a permanent basis over you if I'm honest mind.

In talks for £26m Bacca. A cursory glance seems to suggest a goal machine, but I'm uneasy at £26m for a 29 year old. Though I suppose if we've had £30m bids turned down for every other striker in Europe, needs must.
Love Bacca always in the right place at the right time so I'd be gutted to see him at West 'Am also read a stat before which was along the lines of he's scored 52 goals in last two seasons for Sevilla and AC and 51 of them have been inside the box.

Klopp has told Mario Balotelli he has no future at Liverpool.
According to Klopp, "Mario is not at the stage of his career where he should be battling with four or five other players for one or two positions.”

Adios Supermario!

Why did Ritchie join Newcastle in Championship after a good season with Bournemouth ? Better contract ?

P.s.
Sorry for the OT, but I have a question: is there a Fantasy Premier League game of this forum ?

At Newcastle, he's got a 5 year contract at double his wages here. That's a life changing contract, fantastic deal for him and his family. We couldn't compete with the wage and timescale. And it's at let's face it a big club. Can't blame him for taking it, and I assume he'll get in the starting 11 week in week out, and likely be back in the PL before too long.

Good question on a PL game, there maybe more news on that as we get closer to the season.

I felt as though Klopp might get behind him, and we'd see him have one more last chance. Is he beginning to shift from "unfulfilled potential" to "not good enough"?

Skrtel fucked off as well finally and Balotelli being moved on too (come on China you know you want him). Don't tell me we're going to have a sensible transfer window for once!

Seen Everton are targeting Wijnaldum. For £10 - £15M he'd have been a really good addition but if what Rafa is saying and we'd listen to nothing below £25M then you'll have been robbed blind.

Benteke being dispensible, Mignolet replaced and looking for a controlling CM, at last it seems that we actually know what we need to do in the market!

Bony is rumoured to be close to a loan move to Galatasaray.

His move to City has been what some may refer to as a "bit of a failure", hasn't it?

Balotelli is a total waste of time. Klopp knows this evidently.

I can't see anyone being stupid enough to go for him. He'll be hard to shift for Liverpool, the turd that won't flush. I wouldn't be surprised if the best chance to remove his stench is a rushed loan deal to some desperate prick on 31st August.

Crotone are about the only club that's signalled that they'd be interested.

Somebody will come in for him, even if Liverpool take a hit on the price paid out, as they have made good money on sales this window so are getting their money back anyway.

I understand. I didn't know about his contract with Newcastle and the proposal made by Bournemouth.

We did last season. There probably will be one this season too :D

Great!
Here in Italy is really hard to find a good group of people to organize a PL game.

Skrtel a goner. Been a good servant but past year and half/2 years he's been a liability. With him and Kolo leaving and Sakho injured and Gomez not even bsck in training leave us with 2 centre backs in Lovren and Matip who is a new signing. Surely we're gonna sign another CB or we could end up with Caulker on loan again if we're not careful!!

I think that's fine tbh especially if Lucas stays as he can do a short term job at CB if necessary.

Someone will take Ballotelli, been absolute dog shit for a few years now but he's worth a gamble if you have some spare change, has the quality not the application so needs a manager who will get the best out of him.

Gomez new injury set back. Echo reporting Jurgen will be buying a new centre bsck. Subotic anyone?

Shame for Gomez, the kid is having no luck. If he's out for a few more months, then maybe cover is indeed needed unless Ilori gets picked which I doubt (and who is going to the Olympics anyway I believe).

If Liverpool want to offload Balotelli to China, they'd better do it quick as the Chinese summer window closes tomorrow! :err:

I doubt it will ever be confirmed.

Real Madrid will get him once they flog James Rodriguez.

Looks like I was wrong and Pogba is going to United after all...

I'm not going to get too excited - you told us Ronaldo was moving to United not so long ago.

Really? I'd have said it's now quite clear he doesn't have the quality. If the guy can get another big money move on the pretense it's his attitude that's holding him back and not lack of talent then fair fucks to him.
