Former Arsenal keeper Alex Manninger is training with Liverpool with a view to becoming 3rd choice behind Karius and Mignolet.

Great signing! Double-winner!

Always liked Manninger and felt Wenger sold him too early. Probably way past it now though.

Mignolet should be worried about his second spot.

We brought a young striker from Granada last season for 8 million called Penaranda..

He hasn't been able to get a work permit this summer so guess where he is going now!

:hmmm

If Sissoko performs like he did for France week in week out at club level, he'd be worth every penny. Chances are he will only turn up when he fancies it.

Sorry to disagree, I wasn't impressed, endless runs with the ball and absolutely no end product. He reminded me a bit of Forest Gump.

Fair enough mate I just think he's an absolute machine when he gets running like that, I don't know many players who possess that running power, that kind of direct play scares the shit out of teams and can definitely create chances.

I know what you mean, it's bloody frustrating watching him, but as long as he stays in midfield and not a LB I'm willing to give him a bit more time and hope he improves.
I was amazed he was one of City's top earners last year 60k a week, not sure how that happened.

So getting rid of one player who goes missing in big games for another. Yep he'll suit Arsenal alright.

Apparently Boro are close to completing a deal for Alvaro Negredo.

Hasn't he also had a bid from some Chinese team? 50m€/year?

That's Dahoud then. If it's a legit picture. And if it's not then someone has too much time on their hands. And I say this as someone with 4200+ posts to his name on a football forum.

We're on for Ibe, to be completed this week perhaps even tomorrow.
This follows Ibe having a look around our setup on Friday and then taking a few days to think it over.

Bournemouth will hold the most expensive non capped English player in history. Bournemouth.
*Haven't fact checked the stat, just what I've read.

Wycombe will receive a windfall from the deal as part of their sellon, of about 2m. So Liverpool are getting just shy of 13m,

Aye, he's supposedly cleaned his locker out at Melwood today (love those ITKs), so everything seems to be set...

I hope he can sort the mental side of his game out and fulfill his potential, always come across as a good lad and would be a good Premier League player for you certainly if he did that.

Duncan Castles made up garbage.

Still remember Manninger for one of the best Upton Park performances I've ever seen from an opposition GK, was a league cup quarter (I think) around 1999.

In talks for £26m Bacca. A cursory glance seems to suggest a goal machine, but I'm uneasy at £26m for a 29 year old. Though I suppose if we've had £30m bids turned down for every other striker in Europe, needs must.

Seriously one of the most useless, lazy and half arsed players that have ever played for the Club. Somewhere deep, deep, deep etc. down, there is obviously a decent player as shown by Sunday's game but by god is that the exception. I can't remember who said it but they put it perfectly by saying his performances correlate directly with the TV audience watching.

But screw that..he's class really - £35M...any takers? :£:hypo:

There does seem to be a bit of a sense of Brewster's millions around Premier League clubs this season and a real desperation to splash the cash.

Speaking of which, if Ibe goes through I'd say we're probably two centre halves and possibly a midfielder away from being a pretty good side at this level.

His performance against us at St. James' this season was one of the most lackluster and pedestrian I can remember. Had to double check that he was the same player because the one I saw no way deserved to be near any Euro squad.

Make this happen please :2thumb: We need the money from the sell on clause rumoured to be 2.25 million.
