We don't know what Salah's peak is yet though, he could just be hitting it, and improve yet again, particularly if Klopp can get the best out of him which he has a record of doing with front men. We'll see, both fine players no doubt about that.

Peak, not potential. As in the best they've shown. Anybody could be potentially better than anyone else. Mahrez could be better than in our title winning season.
Trouble with Roma is they'll never win the title. He needed to leave for one of the top title winning clubs last season. Only the premier league has a decent number of clubs to compete for the title that aren't classed in the elite.

Cannot for the life of me see any legs in the Aguero to Chelsea rumour. When you really don't need the money, where is the logic in selling one of your top players to the team that won the league last year?

Sergio and Pep have both said several times over the summer that he's staying, and this has completely out of left-field.

Its not really that Salts, its more that as a news broadcaster with their own betting site it represents the rather dodgy opportunity to just make shit up, present it as a story and point hapless punters desperate to get a bet on over to their betting site when theres no substance to the bollocks in the first place, but with them being the biggest and most trusted sports broadcasters in the land they're in the rather fortunate position to directly profit from making shit up if not only to stretch about 15 minutes worth of actual news into a 3 hour slot.

I mean to say that he is a pretty complete midfielder, rather than just a pure defensive midfielder.

He may be moonlighting at ASDA or something as well (more likely Waitrose now he is in South West London), though - I don't know how the guy rolls.

I didn't really see this one coming. He had moments last season and he certainly has the potential to be very good but I didn't think any one would come in for him. There was a debate amongst our fans about whether we should sell him to Reading for 500k last summer!

He has all the physical and technical attributes to make it at a good level in the game. He's quick, skillful and as any highlight video shows you he has a fantastic long shot. The biggest question marks about him would have to be his overall game awareness and decision making. When to slow the game down, when to attack quickly, when to track back, when to push forward. He was frustrating to watch at times last season as he'd make mistakes that were entirely down to poor decision making, or wouldn't track a runner late on in a close game. I think these are slightly forgivable in an inexperienced winger though.

All in all I wish him the best of luck. With Marley Watkins and his twin brother we already have ready made replacements and can re-invest the money in areas that need strengthening. A good deal for us, a good deal for him and a good deal for you. And if he doesn't work out for him with you guys then we're happy to have him back.
