A local ITK journalist tweeted this yesterday. Interestingly Chelmsford supporters on Nomads said the unnamed club would have transfer restrictions until January so that wouldn't suggest Forest Green.

Gillingham, Luton and Peterborough are reportedly interested in him too.

Saw this on one of our forums. It's normally Posh who sign the decent non-leaguers, I wouldn't imagine it'd be us. Plus, going from Chelmsford to us is a big jump and we could do with someone to come in and make an instant impact with some pedigree rather than another for the development squad.

According to this, we're in for Danny Whitehead, who's currently on loan at Cheltenham. Can't say I know too much about him, but vaguely remember his name being mentioned on here a few times.

Probably still a good player, but glad we missed out on him in the summer. Had agreed to sign for us, but he got a last second offer from Newport.
With him in our side, EVERYTHING would have been route one, and also we wouldn't have Harrison.

Like I said before, I'd be looking a little higher realistically - Bogle or Akinde are more the sorts of players we're in the market for to improve the first team.

If you had to put a certain label on him then yeah, though just as comfortable a little deeper keeping the ball ticking around. The longer he was with us the more further forward he played, makes a lot of well timed runs into the box. Similar in style to Whitaker, but with hair.

Sounds like we'll be struggling to keep Harry Anderson past January, unless it's a Peterborough negotiating tactic.

McCann seems keen for him to be in and around their squad, and L2 Clubs are interested in him. Not sure staying at Posh will help him, nor L2 unless he's going to be playing week in, week out like here.

I'm sure you'll improve under MA, but he's no Guardiola and is up against the likes of Cowley, Mellon, Cooper,Cox, Kinnear and Still who, like him, are top managers at this level, have good backing, strong settled squads and between a 12-14 point lead over you with 23 games to go.

Play-offs are possible if one or two drop off the pace, but the title's gone. To get near the total needed to win it you'll need to pick up at least 50 points, probably nearer 60 which would be between 2.2 and 2.6 ppg, over 23 games. Allen's good, but he aint that good.

Wouldn't surprise me, although we'd have to sign another striker to let him go IMO. Would leave us with just Bubb, Sheringham and McQueen as McLean is out until at least March.

Yep. I actually quite like Charlie, but he's been getting a lot of stick from some of our fans and he's had a bit of a bad time with injuries. Played really well yesterday though, so hopefully he gets a bit of confidence from that.

Perhaps the mighty shots have outbid us and he wanted to take a look at you.
In truth, he has mates who play for Borehamwood, so as it was a day off for him, i guess he went to watch his pals.
He's not coming to us now btw, although he is moving to another club.
