Dear Stockport fans, thank you for taking Tom Denton from us, whilst he was still here there was always the temptation for our idiot manager to start picking him again. In answer to several points of your forum this morning, I really can't be bothered to register only to be banned later today so I will address them here:

1. Said in Sept when Hlfx hit money troubles that we would sign him. Also heard last week he is coming.

2. We have had lots of times when we are supposed to be signing this payer and that player and often disappointed so not holding my breath ... notbsure why they would let him go to a potential play off rival at this crucial stage?

3.Might be happy to take the money, and rely on the other 37 strikers they've signed to get them up?

4. Can't understand how Halifax keep signing all these players and how they afford it on crowds under 1,800?

5. However, would they allow their leading scorer to sign for a play off rival at this stage in the season?

6. I think their rent is about 40k per year. But with all the cash they are splashing out at the mo they have got to be really stretched.

7. He would certainly do for me, would be nice if we could attract him.

8. Halifax fans don't rate him, calling for him to be dropped, he was & they've started winning again. Might not be the dream front man people are expecting.

Answers:
1. Erm, what money troubles? We have lots of money, we could probably buy your club out.
2. Because he's shit, as you'll soon realise when you wonder who dropped that statue of Peter Crouch onto the pitch
3. WTF you talking about?
4. What players? Adam Morgan- no fee just offered him more than beer money, Chris Nti- loan, Ales Simmonds- loan...anyone else?
5. I refer the right honourable gentlemen to answer number 2.
6. Splashing what cash?
7. Well........ you asked for it
8. This.

Thanks again. :bdick:
Why do you have lots of money? - I didn't realise you were backed like Forest Green?

Also your chairman coming out and begging for supporters to buy season tickets because he's spent a lot on the budget is probably the reason people think you haven't got a bottomless pit of money.

Morgan didn't come cheap wages wise and you had already put together a squad in the summer that looked costly on that front so maybe people would presume to balance the books it would make sense to get rid of the highest earner sitting on the bench especially considering the addition of Nti.

As for Denton I'd love to take him, we play with a targetman man anyway so replacing him with one regularly scores isn't going to harm us. Saying that I believe there is very little chance of Heath being stupid enough to let him go to a playoff rival mid-season.

You probably missed it but £500,000 for Jamie Vardy and £250,000 for Lee Gregory, £70,000 for Shaun Tuton and £40,000 for Dan Gardner, plus good housekeeping goes a long, long way in these leagues. As for the chairman and season the tickets, it never happened -he launched an incentive and asked people to buy into it, hardly begging is it? The budget season ticket scheme is effectively financed by those who pay £16 on the gate to get in, so thanks very much for your contribution next week. We signed half the North Ferriby promotion squad, I hardly think we broke the bank on that shower of shit, what do you think? Still, if it makes you feel better to imagine we're in the same shit as your train wreck of a club, carry on. We still remember the arrogance on the County forums when you presumed whispering the mighty Stockport name in his ear while you waved £50,000 at us would be enough to take the Vardy candy from the baby Shaymen. :fl:

Well yeah buying half a promotion squad from a well backed at the time North Ferriby is going to be reasonably costly I should imagine, if you're so well run you wouldn't have gone down.It just appears from the outside that your squad this season looks superior and more costly than the one that you went down with.

We are actually line to make a profit and if you want to take a look at deluded forums then look at yours right now with the "we are a bigger club than Stockport" claims.

Seriously? Our squad looks better than the one we went down with? Are you still wearing last night's beer goggles? There isn't one of the Ferriby mob would have got into last season's side. We went down for one reason last season- the ten games between appointing and sacking the fukwit Darren Kelly. It wasn't the first time the chairman has been blindsided in an interview by an idiot and it won't be the last but there was no coming back from the damage he inflicted on our season. We had 2 defeats in that spell which were of historic proportions, the second one 2 games after the first when he promised us "that will never happen again". Aspin must have laughed until he peed himself. BTW I heard yesterday that Aspin would come back in a shot, when the chairman sells up. :bdick:

Hughes, Hattersley, Wroe, McDonald, Fairhurst and Burrow would all get into your current 16 would they?

Would that it were so simple. There's no doubt though that his heart will always belong to Halifax.

We're in talks with 2 new defenders apparently. They need to be good.

Heard a rumour one of them might be Mark Ellis from Carlisle.

Accidentally posted in confirmed signings first!
We're (Torquay) apparently in for Racine on loan and Justin Hoyte on a free

Azza is a top lad.

Don't know what's gone on with him this season, made a couple of mistakes at Dover and against Lincoln and was dropped, but in previous seasons he's been a reliable, long serving key player. Big strong centre half, good in the air, decent on the ball albeit a bit slow on the turn. Will do well for any team in this league.

Jimmy Bullard training with us. Admittedly just for our appearance on Soccer AM.

Yeah, I can imagine he'd be an irritating one after a while.

As I said originally, there was probably some interest at some stage, but I very much doubt there was any kind of offer these past few weeks.
Seen has you didn't believe me that Amari Morgan Smith turned Barrow down you might want to read the article in today paper Yorkpress

Right, so the link you've shared is just his word for it again, and nowhere does it say barrow made an offer - they were "interested in me".

We are apparently after James Montgomery from Telford, god knows why we are going after a keeper when we are crying out for wingers and a good cm

He's a cracking keeper. Was the only reason we only won 1-0 at the weekend. Saved basically everything until we got a lucky offside goal.

Only just realised that we had supposedly signed McDonagh from Forest on loan the other week and he's not turned up - ended up at Cambridge!
This has happened with at least four players this season (Jon Parkin and Finney from Bolton, plus reportedly Raggett too), so something's not right there.

Anyway, we've "apparently" got a deal done and dusted for another striker to come in.

Mark Ellis and Shaun Brisley (both Carlisle) being linked. Anyone know anything about them?
