Stop the press we're announcing a second signing of the summer this morning! Nearly 6 weeks since our first signing.

Its about bloody time your lot came back into the league. Your big & ugly enough and have been missed over the seasons --- Sort it out.

striker, played for Carlisle, but seems to have bounced around. had a prolific spell for Penrith if that counts :)

Was quite highly regarded at Carlisle but fell out of the starting line-up - came to us and got crocked five mins into his debut, and has barely played since. I'd imagine he'll only get a short-term contract to prove his fitness.

Hang on, what did Steve_Wafc say the process was in the other thread?

Wrexham fans go through the process of: Hearing a player’s name > Nope, never heard of him > Let me Google > Hold on, he played for a bottom half team? > He must be awful then > Relegation it is.

Chorley aren't even in the Conference Premier, never mind the bottom half, so God help us if he does sign:

Barnet rumoured to be signing Steve Arnold from Barrow as new #2 keeper.

I think he played about 15 minutes for Chorley as a sub then went out on loan at Workington till the end of the season, the 15 minutes were not very memorable.

not sure where it's come from - but there's mention on our site that Bedsente Gomis may be off to Dover. It does make sense given that Dover is about as French as Chester is Welsh.... and who Dover's shirt sponsor is....

Was that the keeper FGR had in goal when we beat them?

If so, I agree with you.

He's basically been everywhere with Pennock. Thought he looked okay at first, but his kicking is the worst I've ever seen, and he drops too many clangers.

Yeah he came for a cross and got nowhere near it for Bogles first and spilled Arnold’s shot straight to Bogle for his second. Proper dodgy, wasn’t complaining though. ;)

We're signing a full-back that's played in League 1 - I presume with Chesterfield. Any ideas?

Jack Barthram and Dan Jones have been taken off the transfer list, but Moussa Diarra ain't coming back - think he prefers to be closer to London.

Would love us to sign Diarra, he's always impressed me. We got bullied at times last season and a tall centre back would really help.

What makes you presume that it would've been with us?

Alex Nicholls has left us and could be the striker that Chesterfield are going to sign.
A shame that he decided to not stay on with us, last season he showed that striker's knack of being in the right place to convert a chance.

Frankie Musonda looks like he is going to training with Aldershot to see if he can get a loan there. Kind of odd really as it was announced yesterday afternoon only for him to play a pre season game at Hitchin for us later in the day (and play quite well actually), and it sounds like a trial for a loan, so maybe Aldershot arent sure on him.

Hes a centre half/right back and is a real physical specimen but hasn't really played for us at all. Has been at Braintree and Oxford City on loans previously with the latter apparently reasonably succesful but hasn't really kicked on since his decent youth career here where he was captain of a very good youth side from a few years back. Hope he does well as unfortunately I dont think he will make it here.

Well Barnet fans, it appears you were correct that we'd end up looking at Sam Muggleton:animatedf:

He's been named on the bench today so I'm guessing he's in on trial...

Sam Muggleton is the NL equivalent of Jude Stirling back in the mid-00's.

Muggleton owes his entire football career to Allen's friendship with his dad. In his first full season without Allen he went from L2 to the 8th tier, which is about his level. Has a long throw and nothing else, though he's a nice lad and does work hard.

Luke Rooney played a trial game for us today. Assume it’s just as cover while Mooney and Prince Harrold are injured.

He takes a decent set piece as well and one in a blue moon has a decent game.

No pace, too vulnerable to play full back and offers nothing as a midfielder but those throws are special.

Signed for us last season, played about 10 minutes and then went on loan to Workington for about 10 games where he scored a few goals. Can't say much about him really as we didn't see enough of him
