We've pissed off Dagenham, now we're gonna try and piss Barnet off as I well I believe.

Heard we're interested in signing Coulthirst from Barnet as well - We need another striker and he may also have a buyout clause like Wilkinson did.

We had him on loan 6 years ago and he scored one goal for us.

Given the need to free up some cash in the budget, I wouldn't think we would stand in the way of a decent offer.

He is important for us but not indispensable by any means.

I really wouldn't be too fussed if Coulthirst moved on.

we're (hopefully) due to sign 2 more this week;- one apparently should be sorted Monday and the 2nd a long term loan should be later in the week. With Middlesborough, Notts Forest, Sheff United and Blackburn keen on us taking loanees the loan player is likely to be a youngster from one of them. Don't be surprised if the permanent signing is someone Monkey Tennis has mentioned?
The loanee is confirmed as being from Sheff United (again);- just don't know who yet

Right-back or defensive midfielder I'd imagine to cover gaps left by Barthram and Jennings - we're more or less sorted for a starting XI. Possibly need another centre back, I suppose.

EDIT: Scratch that, forgot we signed Brad Barry!

Our 3rd signing of the summer seemingly imminent according to this tweet by a reporter from BBC Sheffield.

Been so many names floating around on the messageboard and twitter that I won’t even try to attempt to guess who it will be, but some of the names include Reuben Reid, Anthony Gerrard and David Fox.

All experienced players, all would be good signings in my opinion but we’ll wait and see who the mystery man is

Will this be the signing that gets you winning the league by September 10th and have you wetting you pants, only to end up being turd and cause you to go into hiding for 9 months?

Or will that be one of the other players you’re due to sign soon?

Coaster, are you still looking at Grant Smith?

There was a piece today on Cowley wanting to bring back Gilks but having to create funds, which was probably in reference to Smith. Not only that, but we're not going to run with 3 'keepers either and if he wants to bring Gilks back and having also given Vickers a new deals, then Smith will be the one leaving.

That's because Chester are 9 years old and re-election stopped in 1986.

You stupid or what? Even if that were true it doesn't change the fact that Hartlepool are Kings of applying for re-election.

we've still got Turner and Wilson returning pre-season too. it's a big if - but IF Wilson proves his fitness we just about have cover everywhere too (apart from maybe 1 extra centre half needed)

Would take any of those but we probably should get cracking. Assume Pre Season training starts soon and we are very thin on the ground!

Out of the 3 i’d put David Fox at the top of the list in terms of what we need. A Central Midfield organiser that can actually pass a ball... been a LONG time since we had one of those

Has Alabi got another year? If so will he be allowed to just run his contract down or will you somehow get rid?

Can see the merit in giving Turner one more chance as he's clearly talented and young enough to still come good. Letting Wilson back for pre-season seems more of a favour to him though - too old and injury prone, and didn't actually seem all that good either. It's certainly a position that we'll be looking at with our triallists.

Definitely still after him. Has been our first and main target. Even Jay Lynch our current keeper who's contract is due to run out said himself they want Smith instead.

He is currently on the transfer list, he will be loaned out or sold I'd imagine at some point in this window.

He isn't good enough to play regularly in League Two.

Mid-table and a cup run wouldn't be a bad return. L1 is where the silly money starts. We can be financially competitive in L2 but not L1.

Definitely still after him. Has been our first and main target. Even Jay Lynch our current keeper who's contract is due to run out said himself they want Smith instead.
Would expect something to happen at some point then.
