We’ve marched Inih Effiong back to Stevenage, it would appear. Would be no surprise to see Kenton Richardson get the same treatment, and Matty Wolfe appears to be out injured for the rest of the season.

I think that means would leave us back down to five loanees (Knowles, Griffiths, Miller, Ellis and Golden), with potentially the scope to get some help in for poor Kyle Wootton up front as Golden never plays anyway.

you will be lucky to sign anyone now

6.2 REGISTRATION PERIOD
6.2.1
In any Playing Season the Registration Period for that season for The National League, National League North and National League South Clubs shall be the period commencing at midnight on the last day of the immediately preceding Playing Season and ending at 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in March next following.
After 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in March each Playing Season new registrations, new loans, and transfer of registrations will be declined or will be approved subject to such limitations and restrictions as the Board may determine and, if so determined, the Player shall only be eligible to play in the matches for which permission is granted by the Board.

as it is, we have 2 strikers in on trial and we should have a better chance of getting them past the board as we dont have any strikers at all.

Burchnall reckons we aren’t signing anyone else anyway, he must’ve just been extremely keen that Inih Effiong not be here any more.

Effiong doesn't have the best of reputations off the pitch, from what I've heard.

Weird signing for us in the first place - doesn’t offer any alternative to Kyle Wootton, just a poorer version of him.

His mum probably owns the account that started those rumours.

Hartlepool youth keeper Brad Young close to signing for Leicester apparently

Apparently so, been on a few of these extended trials with a couple of Premier League teams now, recently made his debut for England U19's and has yet to play for us, so long as we stick a hefty sell on/future appearances clause on any deal we could be on to a winner.

Danny Elliott has left Chester to play the remainder of the season. Would be a good signing for anyone in the NL IMO

Where does he play?

Since we worked out we can sign people on a non contract basis we seem to be signing loads of people so it could well be us.
He plays up front in the middle or wide he has been on a greatly reduced contract this season so wouldn’t cost you a lot of money in wages.

given we signed 3 strikers on Saturday, another one would just be mental A.K.A doing a Forest Green

We’ve been heavily linked with midfielder Manny Oyeleke from Port Vale, rumoured to be signing today..

No idea how much truth in it, but from what I’ve seen people saying on twitter he seems to be a pretty good player? Anyone seen him play before?

Pretty much repeat what was said in the L2 transfer thread. He is a wonderful player and too good for L2 in terms of ability. His body is made of glass though and as such you just won’t see it that often. Keep him fit and he will get you promoted but it is a huge if based on his past.

I’ve just read he’s Ex-Aldershot so that would now make sense with the Rowe connection..

If it is true, then hopefully with Rowe’s prior knowledge of him he’ll be able to manage his body in the same way he’s seemed to manage Asante very well since he joined.

What type of midfielder is he? Box to box type or more of a defensive/attacking midfielder? Just trying to work out where JR’s thinking he’ll fit into our side

More box to box though he has covered the holding role on occasions and done it well. With us has largely been used in a midfield three and alongside Conlon given the license to get forward. Got all the attributes in terms of strength, passing range, first touch, aerial ability etc just the one thing holding him back and that’s his injury history.

Sounds promising. Rowe is very much sports science focused in his approach so must think we can keep him fit or get the best out of him at least.

Keeping an eye on this one as it could be a good addition for us.
