Thomas has asked to have his contract terminated. Instead we have given him a further month off for stress.

Presumably so if we do cancel it in a month he can't sign for anyone else

Not sure that's the case. Surely he'd be able to sign for anyone he likes as a free agent?

If he gets released outside the transfer window i.e. after January, he'll only be able to sign below Conference N/S.

As I put yesterday we're still after Lee Hughes but the delay is him agreeing a termination of his contract with FGR

Durrell Berry set to leave us on Monday - I take that a club has actually offered him a deal. I wonder who.

Not surprised. I have a feeling they could be joining us down here next season to be honest.

see that James Marwood has been linked with FGR following his release from St Mirren
We have indeed signed him, but are apparently waiting for international clearance to come through before he can play. As we have already lost three points this season for fielding a player whose registration had not been correctly completed I sincerely hope we don't stuff this one up and blow any chance of finishing in the top five.

Rumour at my work today that Jolley is currently on his way to Blundell Park to sign for us today.
I will be happy with that if true, experience of winning in play offs which could help stop us bottling it in them for the 3rd year running.

Hurst is looking into trying to get Palmer on loan until the end of the season if Mansfield agree.

What's your thoughts on Palmer ?

Happy to have him longer if it happens. When a striker signs that's a gamble the word from the manager is almost certainly that "they add another dimension / option to what we have" and it's almost always cheap talk but Palmer is legit. He's not particularly better than what we already have but him, John-Lewis and Pittman are all decent enough to be rotated around.

We saw against Barnet what he's capable of, hope he can keep it up.

Wilkin expecting a permanent and loan signing in by the end of the week in time for Torquay game. best guesses at the moment are Geddes and James Pearson back on loan

Apparently Adriano Moke was on trial at Cheltenham yesterday. We cant afford to lose anyone in the next few days!

Still can't believe the bloke is making it in the Conference Prem never mind the Football League!

Was quick and direct for us but always looked a complete rabbit in the headlights when it came to the final delivery

His delivery isn't the greatest by any stretch of the imagination but he's a great outlet to relieve pressure on the back four, he can be 50 yards up the pitch in just a few seconds. His pace stretches teams so much there's plenty of space for people to run into so that his delivery doesn't have to be pin point accurate. I couldn't see him doing much at league level but is perfect for us at the moment. And he brings a bit of excitement which fans love to see.

Darrell Clarke seems likely to strengthen us with one further signing before the deadline - best guess as to what position that will be is central midfield. We still lack a proper creative player in the middle and both Ollie Clarke and Stuart Sinclair (who is a massive loss) are injury doubts at the moment as well, so we need to bring someone in before Dartford on Saturday preferably.

No idea who we may be targeting; Darrell usually does a very good job in keeping things under wraps.

Hurst says he has spoken to Mansfield and he is hopeful we can keep Palmer till end of season but will speak to them again this week.

Gloucestershire Echo seem to think this will be completed by Monday, though when asked about it on Twitter Moke's response was "This is madness". That could mean anything though!

I read nothing into them I've seen loads linking Marvin Johnson with Rotherham, SPFL clubs, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham etc for weeks but nothing has come of it yet

The very same one released the story of Moke to Cheltenham. Macc Express online just reported that he has officially spoken to them, confirmed by Askey.

The same twitter feed has MK Dons, Chesterfield, Peterborough, Sheff Utd and Huddersfield all interested in Waide Fairhurst!! You couldn't make this stuff up!

On the Daily Mirror website yesterday

"Kidderminster Harriers’ Marvin Johnson is at the centre of a six-way tug-of-war.

The speedy wideman is being chased by a host of clubs from the lower leagues after hitting ten goals for the Vanarama Conference side this season.

Johnson, 24, has just six months remaining on his contract and Kidderminster have reluctantly accepted he will be on his way during the transfer window.

Luton Town, Yeovil Town and Notts County are among those who have the strongest interest while Gary Rowett at Birmingham City is also monitoring the situation closely."

Hi any Kidderminster fans.
What's the situation with Josh O'Keefe, is he still injured and will he be released at the end of season. Steve Burr seems to like him although he was pretty anonymous when he had that very short spell with us earlier in the season. Not sure whether he's coming back to us?

He's been training recently but still yet to make an appearance but now with Storer going i'm not sure he'll be allowed to leave

But on top of that Whild has said that even though we've lost our only decent defensive minded midfielder we are hoping to sign two strikers :dk:

After a CB and a winger type apparently.

If we can get hold of a CM as well, that'd be good.
